Thankful Thursday and Fearless friday

Dear friends....

My mind along the week is still in blogland but blogging and commenting since my internet problems where solved is giving me head aches and is time consuming.....Because this computer i use now has an slow browser...Even to open this blog is an issue....
The computer i used before the dis connection had other issues....In my way trying to make more "space"i took the playing of music out....and it was not virus and spam proteted anymore.....
Well and all this not repairing it etc has to do withour finances right the moment.......
So ALL THIS SAID........I still want to praise and thank God openly here on blogland....
He is good and will ALWAYS be Good to us my friends...!

Good that happenend to me and my family in the weeks i was not in contact with you all!!

He gave us an beautiful "staycation"this year........The 1st 3 weeks we had summertemps unusual for Holland....
And living in an neighbourhood surrounded with open water was an delight.....
We coud see boats and people strolling around and picknicking beside the water....
On walking distance we swim close to our home.....
There was an BIG 3 day anual ( every 5 years) event held in our neigbourhood S.A.I.L. Sail-ships ( ancient ) from all over the world comes to Amsterdam and millopns of people come and see them.....
Every evening ended with 15 min fire-work.....
We took video's but can't share it yet with you

From next week on i am scheduled to work all my hours weekly again with the elderly. It looks like my muscles in my shoulders are not getting tense anymore to give me an "pinced nerve" . I am thankfull for farr lesser pain there is no need for meds and i am thankfull for the treatments i get 1st weekly now 3 weekly!

God provided customers no matter summer is mostly quiet to pay the most important bills( there are still some left and some court-cases and tax-issues........Your prayers are very apreciated) and to buy school supplies for the kids and pay there school/camp fees!

I am thankful God lead both me and my husband to take the step and talk about working together again once or twice a week. So i took up my beauty and pedicure "skills" and was in the shop already once a week.....Not much customers yet where done but looking around cleaning and changing the environment and talking about the job as partners......

Thankful God brings new possibilities on our way to rent an hall once or twice a week to make there the place for prayer and worship.....In the last 2 years it is my husband his office in the beauty shop where he prays with young and old and people with all kind of back grounds.
My husband was touched and called by the Lord to bring God's Word in his own unique way  to everybody......
Since May 2009 we put the name down of this non-denomical church "The New Salvation Church of Christ" as an step of faith because we believe in our heart God want this to come in fruitition we don't know how or when but it will.......
Pray for us to be guided and to stay focus on His will and how He want it to be established and organized!

I thank God for my daughter her new school ( secondary). She started last week and is full of it.
Right now she is at an 4 day camp on an 'farm'
Well she was nervous and i was/am nervous but i know and pray she will build-up good relationships and learn and grow from all the new experiences.....
But i am so thankfull she started so motivated and full of expectations on this school...She sees so much oppurtunities for her "singing/music dreams"on this school.....I ask special prayer for her not to get de-motivated and feeling "lonely" ( i don't know if that is the right word...) not being from an dutc-dutch background......That is my only worry because the majority is dutch-dutch....

I am thankfull of you my readers....I could not resist to still try to come here and make an blogpost.
You all are in my heart and mind and your blogs are as always encouraging to me.

I have an request can one of you link-up my post with the hosts of " TT" and" FF" I don't dare to link-up and scroll to other blogs or even open mine "smile"so  my PC freezes up......

Thank You all for coming her and have an blessed day and weekend!

It will be an leisureday....Still "summerholiday" in the air.....
Right now 9.25 am the family is still sleeping......
In any moment now i will make myself ready to go to the lab to give blood for an bloodwork for an anual check-up.

The kids will play outside later in the day and i will jump back to an de-cluttering job of papers........books and an lot of photo's needed to be but in albums ...

THANKFULL THURSDAY ~ My mind andThankful heart~

Sitting here still with an "sleepy head" but it is already noon........Me and the kids slept the morning away and "hubby" overslept also and customers where calling if the shop will be close today....
WHAT an energetic family isn't it..LOL....
So bringing me to making an list or reflecting on what i am thankful about this week or in general...
In general i am thankful for Life and the oppurtunities it brings.... ......Life can overwhelm you because of  all those "man-made" rules obligations........structures of society....
I always wonder during holidays or get-aways when we leave our homes behind and/or put our minds to relax and enjoy....that we start automaticaly feeling joy- and thankful!
When we are back home or duties call our Joy and Thankfullness wants to "zapp-away" so to say!
It is where we put our minds on!
When i put my  mind only on the "to-do's" and what goes around so to say i set myself up not to be Joyful and Thankful.......
If i put my mind ( start my day) to talk with God, thank Him for this new day..... pick-up my bible and than reflect on my "To -do's".....than I feel free my heart feels free to live Life ........

What am i "rambling" can you still follow my minds flow....?
So I am Thankful for my Life...........Yesterday if you missed it was an year added to it......so it is an "double thank You".......

Thankful that  God gave me an mind and the choice where i want to put it on........" That it will always be on Him and him alone!

I am thankful that He cut us of yesterday from all outside noises by letting rain fall heavenly and that our internet and phone connection died.......Not knowing He wanted our full attention as an family during dinner......He attracted our attention to look outside our living room window  to watch His drawing in the skies........To tell us first HE IS WITH US by flickering his powerful light! Than the drawing in the clouds of an heart with two faces........We looked at eachother and all four of us saw the same drawing.......Isn't it powerfull! When the drawing dis-appeared it started raining heavenly again only for some minutes..........."SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS" came to my mind again............We started singing this song and an favorite came to mind to sing "ABBA FATHER" It was my best and MOST valuable birthday present i ever got!! God openened my eyes to see messages in the skies and to share it as an family!
And i know all the 4 of us will keep this memory as one of His many treasures He will give us through our life.
HE IS WITH US>>>>>>HE LOVES US>>>>>>>>AND HE PICTURED ME AND MY HUSBAND IN THE SKIES!!

I am thankful for blogland with all the encouragement Joy and Love shared in it even blogs who stirrs-up to be creative and get new idea's to give more meaning to our days.

I am Thankful  having still my parents no matter we life with an 'ocean' between us

I am Thankful for stable weather conditions ( i am thinking of the worldnews pictures of disasters lately...)

There is so much to be thankful for ....We take so much for granted....I realized it when being for 2 weeks in Nigeria..........Let's go through our days with an thankful heart no matter our circumstances

Have an greatday!
This month, August, we are all meeting up with Laurie of Women Taking A Stand and in September we will share our thanks with Iris of Grace Alone

What does love look like in your home ? ~ BIRTHDAY august 4~

What does LOVE look like in your home?

This morning of my birthday started with reminizing way back with my husband
How we met.......
How God kept us together without knowing......
Amazing how 22 something years can go so fast!!
This morning before my husband left for work after an delicious  "French breakfast" made by him ...... (Fresh baked croissants with omelet ,jam and fresh orange juice) " THIS "  happenend i said to my "hubby"......LOL....
http://members.multimania.nl/evaensuus/valentijnheart_smile.gif
The kids slept out so i sneek- out ( on tip-toes) to the living room to blog my thoughts on my birthday.........
But before doing that i found emails from my online friends and family members with well wishes......( Thank You all! )

But my "heart smiled" brightly when reading the one of my parents.....
Early in the midnight they wrote: "We are writing this email....after "taking the challenge" how to come on your blog to follow you.We find it so special to read your "Fathersdaypost" on this your birthday. Our well wishes on this strange age of  44....... (19 years with us and 25 years far away from our warm home!) [ these are the words of your dad and he said i must write it just that way!....smiling.....] We wish you HEALTH, LOVE and PEACE in All of  YOUR HEARTS and HOME ! We will "toast" on your birthday....
Much kisses have an nice day and take good care of our grandkids and also of yourself and husband! Love mum & dad"
And they included two painted portrets by an renomated painter in Surinam "Erwin de Vries"

And just now " the silence" is broken my blessings from the Lord woke -up and are saying......
" HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM"!!
But i was surprised.........I had to "beg" for "pecks on my cheek" for the first time??!!
Has that to do with entering the "teen phase".........................

The phone is ringing that will happen a lot of time today.......
http://www.michigancriminaldefenselawyerblog.com/phone-illustration-ringing-off-the-hook.jpg
And a lot of rain is coming down today ....To me an SIGN...... "SHOWERS of BLESSING"

Psalm 44

A Psalm of the "The daughter of THE KING"
1-3 I have  been hearing about this, God, all my live.
My  fathers told me the stories
      their fathers told them,
How single-handedly you weeded out the godless
from the fields and planted us,
How you sent those people packing
but gave us a fresh start.
   We didn't fight for this land;
we didn't work for it—it was a gift!
You gave it, smiling as you gave it,
      delighting as you gave it.

 4-8 You're my King, O God—
      command victories for ME BERNICE

With your help i will wipe out my enemies,
in your name i will stomp them to dust.
   I don't trust in weapons;
      my sword won't save me

   But it's you, you who saved me from the enemy;
you made those who hate me lose face.
All day i parade God's praise—
i thank you by name over and over.

9-12 But now you've walked off and left me,
you've disgraced me and won't fight for me.
   You made me turn tail and run;
those who hate me have cleaned me out.
You delivered me as sheep to the butcher,
you scattered me to the four winds.
You sold your people at a discount—
you made nothing on the sale.

13-16 You made people on the street,
urchins, poke fun and call us names.
You made us a joke among the godless,
a cheap joke among the rabble.
Every day I'm up against it,
my nose rubbed in my shame—
Gossip and ridicule fill the air,
people out to get me crowd the street.

17-19 All this came down on me,
and i've done nothing to deserve it.

I never betrayed your Covenant: my heart

was never false, my feet never left your path.
Do i deserve torture in a den of jackals?
or lockup in a black hole?

20-22 If i had forgotten to pray to my God
or made fools of myself with store-bought gods,
Wouldn't God have figured this out?
I can't hide things from him.
No, you decided to make us martyrs,
lambs assigned for sacrifice each da
y
.

23-26 Get up, God! Are you going to sleep all day?
Wake up! Don't you care what happens to us?

Why do you bury your face in the pillow?
Why pretend things are just fine with me?
And here i am—flat on my face in the dirt,
held down with a boot on my neck.
Get up and come to my rescue.
If you love me so much, Help ME!

Psalm 4

A David Psalm
 1 When I call, give me answers. God, take my side! Once, in a tight place, you gave me room;
Now I'm in trouble again: grace me! hear me!

2 You rabble—how long do I put up with your scorn BERNICE?
How long will you lust after lies?
How long will you live crazed by illusion?
 3 Look at this: look
   Who got picked by God!
He listens the split second I call to him.

4-5 Complain if you must, but don't lash out.
Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking.
Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.

6-7 Why is everyone hungry for more? "More, more," they say.
   "More, more."
   I have God's more-than-enough,
More joy in one ordinary day

7-8 Than they get in all their shopping sprees.
At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep,
For you, God, have put my life back together.

Psalm 8

A David Psalm
1 God, brilliant Lord, yours is a household name.
 2 Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you;
      toddlers shout the songs
   That drown out enemy talk,
      and silence atheist babble.

3-4 I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
      your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
Why do you bother with me BERNICE & MY FAMILY?
Why take a second look our way?

5-8 Yet we've so narrowly missed being gods,
      bright with Eden's dawn light.
You put us in charge of your handcrafted world,
      repeated to us your Genesis-charge,
Made us lords of sheep and cattle,
even animals out in the wild,
   Birds flying and fish swimming,
whales singing in the ocean deeps.

 9 God, brilliant Lord,
your name echoes around the world.

Psalm 19

A David Psalm
1-2 God's glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.
Madame Day holds classes every morning,
      Professor Night lectures each evening.

 3-4 Their words aren't heard,
      their voices aren't recorded,
But their silence fills the earth:
      unspoken truth is spoken everywhere.

4-5 God makes a huge dome
      for the sun—a superdome!
The morning sun's a new husband
      leaping from his honeymoon bed,
   The daybreaking sun an athlete
      racing to the tape.

6 That's how God's Word vaults across the skies
      from sunrise to sunset,
   Melting ice, scorching deserts,
      warming hearts to faith.

7-9 The revelation of God is whole
      and pulls our lives together.
The signposts of God are clear
and point out the right road.
The life-maps of God are right,
      showing the way to joy.
The directions of God are plain
      and easy on the eyes.
   God's reputation is twenty-four-carat gold,
      with a lifetime guarantee.

The decisions of God are accurate
      down to the nth degree.

10 God's Word is better than a diamond,
better than a diamond set between emeralds.
You'll like it better than strawberries in spring,
      better than red, ripe strawberries.

11-14 There's more: God's Word warns us of danger
and directs us to hidden treasure.
Otherwise how will we find our way?
Or know when we play the fool?
Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
      Keep me from stupid sins,
      from thinking I can take over your work;
Then I can start this day sun-washed,
scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
   These are the words in my mouth;
these are what I chew on and pray.
Accept them when I place them
      on the morning altar,
   O God, my Altar-Rock,
      God, Priest-of-My-Altar.

Psalm 66

All together now—applause for God! Sing songs to the tune of his glory,
set glory to the rhythms of his praise.
Say of God, "We've never seen anything like him!"
When your enemies see you in action,
they slink off like scolded dogs.
The whole earth falls to its knees—
it worships you, sings to you,
can't stop enjoying your name and fame.

5-6 Take a good look at God's wonders—
they'll take your breath away. 8-12 Bless our God, O peoples!
      Give him a thunderous welcome!
Didn't he set us on the road to life?
Didn't he keep us out of the ditch?

   He trained us first,
passed us like silver through refining fires,
   Brought us into hardscrabble country,
pushed us to our very limit,
   Road-tested us inside and out,
      took us to hell and back;
   Finally he brought us
      to this well-watered place.

13-15 I'm bringing my prizes and presents to your house.
      I'm doing what I said I'd do,
What I solemnly swore I'd do
that day when I was in so much trouble:

   The choicest cuts of meat
      for the sacrificial meal;
   Even the fragrance
of roasted lamb is like a meal!
   Or make it an ox
      garnished with goat meat!

16-20 All believers, come here and listen,
let me tell you what God did for me.
I called out to him with my mouth,
my tongue shaped the sounds of music.
If I had been cozy with evil,
the Lord would never have listened.
But he most surely did listen,
he came on the double when he heard my prayer.
Blessed be God: he didn't turn a deaf ear,
he stayed with me, loyal in his love.

Marriage Monday ~ Favorite foods of our husbands ~...........~

Romantic Food Faves
Oh! Give me something refreshing to eat—and quickly! Apricots, raisins—anything. I'm about to faint with love!
(Song of Solomon 2:5 MSG)
Today we must tell about the favorite foods of our husbands..I had to laugh about the vers E-mom from C h r y s a l i s

Well i came an long way in preparing and knowing the fav foods of my husband
I remember the first time visit of my hubby in my appartment to have dinner together....
Now i understand his not so excited reaction about my dinner.....I remember slightly what i made....It was an oven dish with fish.....In comparison i know now with his "Nigerian cuisine" it was NOT spicy at all.......it was not fried..and looking very colourful.
I learned a lot about his taste and cooking a long those years but mostly i gave him "the honours" in our home to cook in the weekend and special occasions /celebrations....
But his favorite's are......
Fried Tilapia fish

Fried Rice

Side dish baked plantain

Friday link-up ~ Favorite/inspiring WORD...~

http://communities.zeelandnet.nl/data/suriname/upload/images/fayalobi.jpgFAJALOBI

http://www.thaicultureblogs.com/media/blogs/thailand/waikru22.jpghttp://farm4.static.flickr.com/3168/3099564383_1cf55fc7f7.jpg?v=0

The last days i am thinking about LOVE......

The Faya Lobi
Flower
Faya Lobi or Faja Lobi is the best known flower from Suriname. It is called the flower of love, because the litteral translation is "Fire Love". Just like many other flowers, this flower is used by people to express their love to each other.  The flower appears in different colors. As far as I know there are red, yellow, orange and white Faya Lobi flowers. Of course many people have small companies to cultivate these flowers and in Suriname it is good business.
God's definition of love....Un-conditional Love...
Passionate Love
But i heard this word also in my own language LOBI.......
God's Love is like an FIRE......in our Life's........in Surinamees FAJA
So today my word to link-up with Cindy Adkins at " I Owe it All to Him"....is......
FAJALOBI

Psalm 119
49-56 Remember what you said to me, your servant—
I hang on to these words for dear life!
   These words hold me up in bad times;
      yes, your promises rejuvenate me.
The insolent ridicule me without mercy,
but I don't budge from your revelation.
I watch for your ancient landmark words,
and know I'm on the right track.
But when I see the wicked ignore your directions,
      I'm beside myself with anger.
I set your instructions to music
and sing them as I walk this pilgrim way.
I meditate on your name all night, God,
      treasuring your revelation, O God.
Still, I walk through a rain of derision
because I live by your Word and counsel.
57-64 Because you have satisfied me, God, I promise
      to do everything you say.
I beg you from the bottom of my heart: smile,
be gracious to me just as you promised.
When I took a long, careful look at your ways,
I got my feet back on the trail you blazed.
I was up at once, didn't drag my feet,
was quick to follow your orders.
The wicked hemmed me in—there was no way out—
but not for a minute did I forget your plan for me.
   I get up in the middle of the night to thank you;
your decisions are so right, so true—I can't wait till morning!
I'm a friend and companion of all who fear you,
of those committed to living by your rules.
Your love, God, fills the earth!
Train me to live by your counsel.

Romans 10:14-15 (New International Version)

(GOD’S WORD Translation)  14But how can people pray to him if they have not believed in him? How can they believe in him if they have not heard his message? How can they hear if no one tells the Good News? 15How can people tell the Good News if no one sends them? As Scripture says, “How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who announce the Good News.”

(Young's Literal Translation)  14How then shall they call upon [him] in whom they did not believe? and how shall they believe [on him] of whom they did not hear? and how shall they hear apart from one preaching?15and how shall they preach, if they may not be sent? according as it hath been written, `How beautiful the feet of those proclaiming good tidings of peace, of those proclaiming good tidings of the good things!'

(New Century Version)14 But before people can ask the Lord for help, they must believe in him; and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them;15 and before someone can go and tell them, that person must be sent. It is written, "How beautiful is the person who comes to bring good news."

My Consolation
Oh Jesus, come and walk with us and let us feel Thy very nearness.
I walk with you. Oh! think, My children, not only to guide and comfort you and strengthen and uphold, but for solace and comfort for Myself.
When a loving child is by you, is the nearness only that you may provide protection and help for that little one?
Rather, too, that in that little child you may find joy and cheer and comfort in its simplicity, its Love, its trust.
So, too, is it in your power to comfort and bring joy to My Heart.
And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people Leviticus 26:12

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
