My Day word @ THE POWER OF A PRAYING "PARENT"

Wednesday, September 2

Psalm 105:8-15
Jeremiah 32:16-33:5; 2 Timothy 3:10-4:8

If you will only obey the Lord your God... Blessed shall you be when you come
in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. Deuteronomy 28:1,6

Christ says, "Very truly, I tell you, whoever keeps my word will never see
death." John 8:51

Faithful God, we are fearful of death, and it is so often because we are
disobedient. Help us to see that in obedience we find a new life not fearful of
death nor overcome by death. Bless us as we go out and come in this day so we
may keep your word in all we do and say. Amen.

Stormie revisits her bestselling book for parents (more than 1.5 million copies sold) by adding some new material and the wisdom gleaned from even more years of being a mom. After decades of raising her own children along with her husband, Michael, she looks back at the trials and joys of parenting and the power found in praying for her kids. In 30 easy–to–read chapters, Stormie shares from personal experience as to how parents can pray for their children’s
safety, character development, peer pressure, school experiences, godly friends, relationship with God, health and safety, and having wisdom, discernment, faith, and a good future, among other things. Stormie’s grown–up children reflect on the way their praying parents raised them—and what a difference it made. There are thirty short, easy to read chapters, each one going into detail about a different area of prayer focus that will help any parent learn how to powerfully pray through every age and stage of their child’s life.

Yesterday started the 30th days of reading initiated at " DANDELION SEEDS" on the fan site of
SHMILY TIME you can find the latest information because Amy is in the middle of moving.

This morning i read the 1st two chapters out of the dutch version
1 PARENTS WHO PRAY
2 IN GODS HANDS

For now i want to leave you with a quote of the writer:
"Being a perfect parent doesn't matter. Being a praying parent does." (Stormie Omartian)

And the verses of both chapter. Those verses she called "The wapens for the war"!
Because it is a "war" what is going on in the spiritual realm for the souls of our kids!
God has a perfect plan for them but Satan will do his utmost to destroy the plan and will trow everything in this battle to succeed; drugs,sex,alcohol,rebellion,accidents,sicknesses....( all this quoted from the book but i so agree and see it happening daily with kids...)

But the POWER we have in our hands GODS WORD and to speak out those verses out over our kids ( and the kids in our family's or in our community and every kid God put on our hearts!)

John 15

16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

Proverbs 20

7 The godly walk with integrity;
blessed are their children who follow them.

John 14

13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

Ephesians 6

4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.

17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere

Matthew7

11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Psalm 103

17 But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
18 of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments!

Psalm 127:3

3 Children are a gift from the Lord;
they are a reward from him.

1John 3

21 Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. 22 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

Isiaha 65

23 They will not work in vain,
and their children will not be doomed to misfortune.
For they are people blessed by the Lord,
and their children, too, will be blessed.

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
