THAN SING MY SOUL SATURDAY ~He Shall Feed His Flock~

Saturday, November 28

Psalm 137
Hosea 10,11,12; Revelation 3:19-4:8

Shepherd your people with your staff. Micah 7:14

Christ says, "I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring
them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one
shepherd." John 10:16

Lord, we know that there is plenty of room for more in your flock yet we are
sometimes reluctant to make space. Stretch our arms and open our hands to extend
the invitation of your grace to the world. Amen.

Psalm 137

1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
       when we remembered Zion.
 2 There on the poplars
       we hung our harps,
3 for there our captors asked us for songs,
       our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"
4 How can we sing the songs of the LORD
       while in a foreign land?
 5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill .
6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
       my highest joy.
7 Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did
       on the day Jerusalem fell.
       "Tear it down," they cried,
"tear it down to its foundations!"
8 O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is he who repays you
for what you have done to us-
9 he who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.

Psalm 19:14 (New International Version)

14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
