Psalm 65

A David Psalm

1-2 Silence is praise to you, Zion-dwelling God,
And also obedience.
You hear the prayer in it all.

2-8 We all arrive at your doorstep sooner
or later, loaded with guilt,
Our sins too much for us—
but you get rid of them once and for all.
Blessed are the chosen! Blessed the guest
at home in your place!
We expect our fill of good things
in your house, your heavenly manse.
All your salvation wonders
are on display in your trophy room.
Earth-Tamer, Ocean-Pourer,
Mountain-Maker, Hill-Dresser,
Muzzler of sea storm and wave crash,
of mobs in noisy riot—
Far and wide they'll come to a stop,
they'll stare in awe, in wonder.
Dawn and dusk take turns
calling, "Come and worship."

Proverbs 7

Dressed to Seduce

1-5 Dear friend, do what I tell you; treasure my careful instructions.
Do what I say and you'll live well.
My teaching is as precious as your eyesight—guard it!
Write it out on the back of your hands;
etch it on the chambers of your heart.
Talk to Wisdom as to a sister.
Treat Insight as your companion.
They'll be with you to fend off the Temptress
that smooth-talking, honey-tongued Seductress.

The
following of this proverbs is a good script about a sense-less young man and a seductive woman!

1 Corinthians 14:20-35 (The Message)

To be perfectly frank, I'm getting exasperated with your infantile thinking. How long before you grow up and use your head—your adult head?

My tongue will sing of your promise, for all your commandments are right.
Psalm 119:172

We also constantly give thanks to God for this, that when you received the word
of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word but as what
it really is, God's word, which is also at work in you believers. 1
Thessalonians 2:13

God of all truth, take away the unbelief and hypocrisy that lets us hear your
word without allowing it to become part of our innermost being. May we give
thanks for the leading of your Spirit. Amen.

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
