I'm behind in my readings, that's why i do two postings from yesterday and today
It's overhere a holiday long weekend because of the celebration of Pentecost yesterday! The weather is warm and beautifull.Swimming and BBQ in the citypark are our activity's yesterday and later today....

Psalm 71:9-18
Proverbs 24; 2 Corinthians 6:3-18

As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I
look after my sheep. Ezekiel 34:12

Jesus said, "I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance."
Luke 5:32

Gracious Comforter, we often find ourselves separated from the flock, scattered
amidst life's trials and tribulations. We know you are always with us, keeping
watch over us. Help us, O Lord, to hear you calling us back into your fold.
Amen.

Day of Pentecost

Watchword for the Week
O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all. Psalm 104:24

More majestic than the thunders of mighty waters, more majestic than the waves
of the sea, majestic on high is the Lord! Psalm 93:4

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And
suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind. All of
them were filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:1-2,4

Holy Spirit, move in us like a mighty wind, filling us with your energy. Teach
us new ways to move within our world in order to display your majesty and bring
others to believe in you. Amen.

Shall we read today together....so God's powerfull Word can be a balm for our soul and make us stand firm!

In Acts
"In the Last Days," God says,
"I will pour out my Spirit
on every kind of people:
Your sons will prophesy,
also your daughters;
Your young men will see visions,
your old men dream dreams.
When the time comes,
I'll pour out my Spirit
On those who serve me, men and women both,
and they'll prophesy.
I'll set wonders in the sky above
and signs on the earth below,
Blood and fire and billowing smoke,
the sun turning black and the moon blood-red,
Before the Day of the Lord arrives,
the Day tremendous and marvelous;
And whoever calls out for help
to me, God, will be saved."

In the Psalm
33-35 Oh, let me sing to God all my life long,
sing hymns to my God as long as I live!
Oh, let my song please him;
I'm so pleased to be singing to God.

The whole of the reading part in ROMANS spoke volumes to me....

22-25All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
