Prayer on the 10th in 2010 ~ Psalm 27 ~

I'm stirred up for this year of 2010
To PRAY more and deligently and purposefully
And He gave me a word for this year.....
1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God(NIV)

So i must be ready to TRUST and i want to ad to the list...

SEEK HIS WILL in EVERYTHING and ALWAYS!

Want to start this year in joining on the 10th of every month E-Lisa at "Extravagant Grace "to pray.....Today the vers and the rest of the psalm i got on my confirmation day 20 years ago.... 
PSALM 27
 

Thank You LORD that You are

 my light and my salvation—and that there is no need to
        fear?
       That YOU are  the stronghold of my life—
       of whom shall I be afraid?

 ² When evil men advance against me
       to devour my flesh,
       when my enemies and my foes attack me,
       they will stumble and fall.

 ³ Though an army besiege me,
       my heart will not fear;
       though war break out against me,
       even then will I be confident.

 ⁴ One thing I ask of the LORD,
       this is what I seek:
       that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
       all the days of my life,
       to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
       and to seek him in his temple.

 ⁵ For in the day of trouble
       he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
       he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
       and set me high upon a rock.

 ⁶ Then my head will be exalted
       above the enemies who surround me;
       at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
       I will sing and make music to the LORD.

 ⁷ Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
       be merciful to me and answer me.

 ⁸ My heart says of you, "Seek his  face!"
       Your face, LORD, I will seek.

 ⁹ Do not hide your face from me,
       do not turn your servant away in anger;
       you have been my helper.
       Do not reject me or forsake me,
       O God my Savior.

 ¹⁰ Though my father and mother forsake me,
       the LORD will receive me.

 ¹¹ Teach me your way, O LORD;
       lead me in a straight path
       because of my oppressors.

 ¹² Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
       for false witnesses rise up against me,
       breathing out violence.

 ¹³ I am still confident of this:
       I will see the goodness of the LORD
       in the land of the living.

 ¹⁴ Wait for the LORD;
       be strong and take heart
       and wait for the LORD.

AMEN AMEN!!

I'm thinking of making a song with those words......LOL....

In Amsterdam "skating lovers" can't wait that all the canals are frozen in the inner city to do an "canal skate tour" what isn't held in decades.......

The Dutch can't wait tfor the "elevencity tour" to happen again

I remember the tour in the 1986 ( my 1st winter in Holland) that i went all the way to Friesland to see what this is all about....

The celebration beside the ice in the eleven city's( villages) what made an lasting memory for me.....

Partying in the cold!!...LOL...

And an side note The eldest son of the Queen did the tour"incognito".... in 1986.When he revealed himself at the finish he earned a lot of respect from the Dutch citizens....

In remenising about this weather season and all the "up-heavel" about it in Holland...I wanted to find an word from the Lord for us and for everybody who has ears to hear!

I found this i substitute my country...(city) substitute yours....

Psalm 147:12 (The Message)

 ^12-18 Holland , worship God!
      Amsterdam, praise your God!
   He made your city secure,
      he blessed your children among you.
   He keeps the peace at your borders,
      he puts the best bread on your tables.
   He launches his promises earthward—
      how swift and sure they come!
   He spreads snow like a white fleece,
      he scatters frost like ashes,
   He broadcasts hail like birdseed—
      who can survive his winter?
   Then he gives the command and it all melts;
      he breathes on winter—suddenly it's spring! 

Psalmen 147:12-18 (Het Boek)

 ¹²Nederland, beroem u op de HERE! Stad Amsterdam, prijs uw God!

 ¹³Hij zorgt er immers voor dat uw poorten goed vergrendeld zijn. Hij zegent de kinderen in uw stad.

 ¹⁴Hij geeft vrede in het land en zorgt voor rijke oogsten.

 ¹⁵Hij stuurt Zijn bevelen de aarde rond en Zijn woord gaat met grote snelheid.

 ¹⁶De sneeuw ligt als wol op de aarde en rijp ligt als gestrooide as op de gewassen.

 ¹⁷De ijzel valt in stukken op de grond. Als Hij de kou stuurt, kan niemand zich redden.

 ¹⁸Maar als God Zijn woord stuurt, smelt alles weg. Als Hij de wind laat waaien, stroomt het water weer.
