Read with me the choosen verses to sustain this FEARLESS FRIDAY and be blessed!

(The Message)

Psalm 112

Hallelujah! Blessed man, blessed woman, who fear God,
Who cherish and relish his commandments,
Their children robust on the earth,
And the homes of the upright—how blessed!
Their houses brim with wealth
And a generosity that never runs dry.
Sunrise breaks through the darkness for good people—
God's grace and mercy and justice!
The good person is generous and lends lavishly;
No shuffling or stumbling around for this one,
But a sterling and solid and lasting reputation.
Unfazed by rumor and gossip,
Heart ready, trusting in God,
Spirit firm, unperturbed,
Ever blessed, relaxed among enemies,
They lavish gifts on the poor—
A generosity that goes on, and on, and on.
An honored life! A beautiful life!
Someone wicked takes one look and rages,
Blusters away but ends up speechless.
There's nothing to the dreams of the wicked. Nothing.

2 Chronicles 7:14

God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, "I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I'm alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place.

Pray with me for

  1. Wisdom for the people in crucial places to decide how to organize the recesion problems
  2. The people who suffer in all the countries who are in different warsThat peace will be shed amongst them
  3. Suffering of inasant children
  4. People who suffer from different diseases, let them come to know the healing power of God.
  5. I pray for the country i life in ( Holland) and the city of Amsterdam ....In my WFW God said in psalm 46 - 4-6 River fountains splash joy, cooling God's city, this sacred haunt of the Most High. God lives here, the streets are safe, God at your service from crack of dawn. Godless nations rant and rave, kings and kingdoms threaten, but Earth does anything he says. This is what i pray for my country and the city of Amsterdam.
  6. The youth who have the desire to follow The living God and need courage and strenght for the temptations of today...
  7. I pray also for the youth who are on the wrong path and life in bondage that they will be FREED in Jesus name ,that their spirit will be full of Gods...and NO other spirit..and that they will honour Him with their Life.....
  8. I pray for the ELDERLY who are so forgotten in this age and time...That they will get the repect and care what they so deserve....

Father God i bring all these prayers to You who hear and always answers....

But father God ANYTHING that stands between Us and You please open our eyes for it and forgive us and cleanus with the precious blood of Your Son Jesus Christ!

Thankful Thursday

I'm sooooooooo late with this......For me it is just friday, but instead of jumping in bed i 'm urged to finish this day by Thanking my Lord and God from who i get everything i have...Who is worthy of ALL my praise......

I'm just finished with my sons birthday's sweets what he will share on school today for his 8th birthday,we went this evening to buy his birthday present/request a "soccertable"......Already for some day's he couldn't sleep because he was wondering if he will get it or not......

Here goes my THANK YOU'S for today...
  1. I'm so Thankfull for my SON for the Joy,that he brought to our life, for who he is and for all he will become. That the Lord will keep and guide him through his whole life in Jesus Name!
  2. I'm thankful that i experience the Lord in different forms speaking to my mind and heart
  3. I love and am so thankful for the spring that is in the air.....i love the change from Winter to Lent...So good to see new life coming up in nature
  4. This week i was thinking a lot about my parents and want to say i'm thankfull that i still have them and that God grant us to still have eachother.
  5. I'm already at point 5 the TT, host by Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey, requiers 5 .I can go on writing some more but i will end that i'm thankfull that i got verry well through some physically "set backs"

"I am praising Jesus for He has come to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, and release the prisoners from darkness.
How has Jesus freed you? "

This was said and asked by Lynn who is hosting this month for Iris from Grace Alone

When i think about JESUS the Christ who died for me and for ALL mankind i think of it with amazement ...I feel my heart shaking......and overflowing with Love. Like a child who wants to be close to her daddy who showers her with Love !

I remember the day that i decided that i want to have what i saw in other Christians ON FIRE...

I knew it was HIS SPIRIT...In a way it was not that I decided ,it was HIS LOVE flowing to me.....and it was what i know now saying to me "I stand at the door( your heart) and knock...."

I opened and i let Him in....I'm so greatfull for His LOVE,PATIENCE with me daily and His MERCY and His interceding for me at the throne of our FATHER in heaven...

All this FREED me to LIFE in HIS PEACE daily and to Honour Him with all that i have!

THANK YOU LORD JESUS!!

WFW ~ Cooling God's city ~

Psalm 46:4-11 (The Message)

4-6 River
fountains splash joy, cooling God's city,
this sacred haunt of the Most
High.
God lives here, the streets are safe,
God at your service from
crack of dawn.
Godless nations rant and rave, kings and kingdoms threaten,
but Earth does anything he says.

7 Jacob-wrestling God fights for
us,
God-of-Angel-Armies protects us.

8-10 Attention, all! See the
marvels of God!
He plants flowers and trees all over the earth,
Bans war
from pole to pole,
breaks all the weapons across his knee.
"Step out of
the traffic! Take a long,
loving look at me, your High God,
above
politics, above everything."

11 Jacob-wrestling God fights for us,
God-of-Angel-Armies protects us.

( note... When i took this picture...in the heart of this city i remember my thought to pray for the city....I felt a kind of "worry" and than PEACE came over me after lifting this city up in prayer.......! )

MY STORY

LauraLee, at Selah ~ Pause.Ponder.Praise asks us to share our story of salvation. I wanted to share it here, too. It may help you get to know me better. She asks some questions that I thought I'd answer.

1How old were you when someone first told you about Jesus?
To believe in Jesus Christ and to look -up to God for help and guidens in your life was learned to me just like learning to read and write. This is to me a huge blessing and privilege.I got awesome examples by stronggodly woman ( My grandmother ,her sister and"Nene Dina") and godly man My grandfather read my
7 xmas-memories .
I was always prayed for and over even when i left my birthcountry all by myself and the BEST advice my grandma gave me was ALWAYS take "your bible and pray"!

2When did you become open to the gospel?
I was always as a child open to the gospel God was for me a living reality ...I always love reading and telling story's.So the story's from the childrensbible i could tell out of my head...I remember as a teen i wanted to read "the real bible" from beginning to end.My grandfather frequently read passages to me and we talked about it....
In my teen time i went to Youth services in other christian denominations because i start coming up against the "kind of set liturgic services" and the common songs from the 17- and 18 centuries......

3What compelled you to give your life over to Jesus?
Was an vibrant experience of Gods Spirit in a youthgroup in the same denomination i was baptized as a child but now in Holland. I left my birthcountry when i was 18yo age.I did my commitment to follow Jesus when i was 21

4What Scriptures were particularly meaningful to you?
My favorite book is of Isaiah a lot about HOPE to me.....
Isaiah 40:31but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faintI was and am always intriged by the HOPE we can have as Christians for this life to live out of restoration and after this Life with Him and All who died in Him!

5I finally start living it?
In my married life and this last year i was more compeled to hold on to His Promises to His Children.

6What changed inside of you?
I accepted Jesus Christ when i was active in the Youth group because of the experience ..That Gods spirit lives in people...I saw it i felt it i accept the gospel "That He is the only way to God"

I realised also around that time that i embraced other thoughts in my teens going to adolesent, who were not endorsed by The living God the God of Jesus Christ....

7How do you think your life is different since you made Jesus the Lord of it?
When i start living it, it was the moment i stopt ONLY believing in Jesus Christ and began to confess and realize i need a SAVIOR. I can't life Godly out of my own strenght. In that season of my life as a mother ( of toddlers) and married i felt i came totally short...
I found a verse of Apostel Paul and realized than the dept of it....
Romans 7:23 (The Message)
21-23It happens so regularly that it's predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God's commands, but it's pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

Gods spirit urges me to grow....,to pray without ceasing for myself for my family...i felt totally inadequate and .I was "housebound" loose contact with my churchfamily.
But in the mids of this my relationship with the Lord began to grow and He start to "weed" in our lifes and plant new seeds so to say...
I found a book along the way "Praying Wife" from Stormie Omaritain....and praying those scriptural prayers helped me to focus on GODSPLAN for me my dh's and my family....I was directed to His WORD and i can testify that God is faitfull He answered in His time each and every prayer that i send up to Him......and also the prayers send up by my "Granny's" who followed and blessed me trough my whole life. My marriage is stronger than ever, My husband is drawn to God more than ever, My kids love the Lord and learn about Him and I'm challenged now more than ever to become the P31 woman and become the best i can be for HIM who restored me and gave me HOPE for now and everyday
!

My Husband, My Friend

On this is focused today At the Well...In Pursuit of Titus 2 by AMY. If you liked to join link to it:

Discussion Questions:

What other scriptures did you find pertaining to
friendship?

How do those scriptures relate to your marriage?

What are some ways you die to self in your marriage?

Do you have
any ideas as to how we can develop a deeper physical, emotional, and
spiritual
intimacy with our husbands?

How do you sharpen your
husbands
countenance?

While reading the discussionspoints different thoughts crossed my mind..

To me a FRIEND is somebody who you TRUST and come CLOSE to you....

This as long as i can remember never came easy to me as specially the "close part"...to say what you think show your REAL emotions.

BUT i must say a long those years the closest people ( on earth) to me are my husband and my children no matter i doubt frequently my own friendship but "doubt " is not of the Lord so i can rather put our relationship and insecurities in prayer ....

I look-up just now the verb FRIEND what that means in language....a person whom one knows well and is fond of; an ally, supporter, or sympathizer.

I was surprised when i looked the definition up because it does not talk about TRUST and CLOSENESS ....

This say's something of MYSELF...

My husband gave me His friendship...He is all of what the definition says and so I can TRUST and feel CLOSE no matter what...

DARE to trust and BE close i learned along the years..

John 15:13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

John 3:29The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

The " being fond of "," supporter" and " sympatizer" where there from the beginning

But " THE GET TO KNOW WELL" comes along the years...

The attitude talked about in JOHN 3:29 was put there in my husbands heart from the beginning and buildeth up my trust a lot.......and to open up.....

I had to learn to acguire this attitude it gave a lot of misunderstanding and a feeling of "coldness or not being interested..."

Especially the part of LISTENING REALLY LISTENING...not hearing what you want to hear...or interpretate things.......

JOHN 15:13

Always struck a core in me...when i realized and read about "the Love of Jesus" to us to be and become our friend to life this example was to lay down His Life everyday he was among men and literally on the cross!!

To be able to build up a HEALTHY MARRIAGE a Marriage as how GOD had intended it full of TRUST/LOVE/RESPECT for differences /WILLINGNESS to FORGIVE/OPENNESS to GROW....can only be done i realised by laying down my own Life before Jesus wanting to be His friend and want to accept HIM as my friend and SAVIOR...Only than i was able to start BEING THE FRIEND to my husband as how God intended it....

I died to self by wanting to show my vulnerability....( i'm not perfect can't do all on my own)

Laying down pride and subborness ( My way is NOT the high way!!)

LEARN to foccus not on MY WANTS al the time

What helped to develop a deeper physical, emotional, and spiritual intimacy .......

Communication with God and with eachother........

Ask and give forgiveness

Taking time for eachother in means of doing things together (also doing things what is not so my own interest)

I realized now that i "sharpened my husband countenance" by witnessing to him about what i learn from God and not to relent in praying for his salvation and becoming "the head" in our house to give spiritual guidens and example.....

Now after 16 years he tells me the effect of that in his spiritual growth.......I didn't realize what i was doing it was all God's leading.....

With my whole heart i believe that He brought us together and keep us together!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I reflect on my week vers

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High......Psalm 92:1 (NASB)

If you like to join in this week at "The Power of Your Love"to memorize and reflect on bible versus.

Last week i read this verse everytime i came to my blog it caught my eye......

A thankfull heart is so good for our soul......

God knows what we as His creatures need...

When i start singing a long with praise music my mind and heart changes...to look at God ( and not at circumstances or at self) ...to praise Him to honour Him and to see Him in big and small things.....

I loved this week to be remembered to do this as much as possible and so i cultivated

" A heart of Thanksgiving"

My prayer is to continue with this as much as possible

Our new weekverse is

Jeremiah 17:9 (The Message)
9-10"The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out.But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind.I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things.I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be."

This verse choosen for this week connects with my thoughts in my ~ Face to Face~ post from last week......

God is Good and sees us for how we really are!!

Thankfull thursday ~FACE to FACE ~

2 Corinthians 3:16
Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God
removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that
God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God
is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is
recognized as obsolete. We're free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God,
our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured
much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful
as God enters our lives and we become like him.

  • It's Thankfull thursday friends
This week was for me a lot of reflecting in Gods Word or all of your blogs brought me in God's word!
I tried to write an analogy about my feeling/experience of this week.
When you arein front of a mirror and do something ( positive) after looking and look again and again and start seeing a different Happy/bright face.....
When this thought crossed my mind i was like "Can you find a bible verse to sustain what you put in words" !!??
So i gave "Biblegateway " a hard time but this verse above rolled out......
My face is brighter because i'm now "Face to Face"

My Thankfullnesslist with this special week as focus
  • The RESURRECTION POWER of GOD in my LIFE
  • Blogreadings from Christiansisters who want to give there time and Love to share about God's word.
  • To have a BIBLE and also the bible in ALL translations on the internet.....
  • My family with whome i can share my experience
  • For my LIFE in general...that i wake-up and get another day with changes, possibilities and a future in Christ....It's like a "Spring is in the air feeling"

To celebrate this day of "THANKFULLNESS" link to SONYA from Truth 4 the Journey and to Lynn who is hosting this month for Iris ( Grace Alone)

Word Filled Wednesday ~ DIRECT MY STEPS PSALM 119:133 ~

Psalm 119:133 (The Message)
129-136 Every word you give me is a miracle word—
how could I help
but obey?
Break open your words, let the light shine out,
let ordinary
people see the meaning.
Mouth open and panting,
I wanted your commands
more than anything.
Turn my way, look kindly on me,
as you always do to
those who personally love you.
Steady my steps with your Word of promise
so nothing malign gets the better of me.

Rescue me from the grip of bad
men and women
so I can live life your way.
Smile on me, your servant;
teach me the right way to live.
I cry rivers of tears
because
nobody's living by your book!

American Standard Version
Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Contemporary English Version
Keep your promise
and don't let me stumble
or let sin control my life.

Maintaining Home Peace in Times of Chaos

This was taken from At the Well...In Pursuit of Titus 2 by Chelsey. I'm joining in.

Life's storms will come
sometimes when we least expect them, how do we give our children a "safe
feeling" in the midst of a life storm?

Sometimes chaos is created by our
own efforts of trying to do too much, how can we maintain a peaceful home where
chaos is prevented?

How can we as wives and mothers actually calm the
storm?

These questions let me hit on a subject what " I was ( and am) tackling" ( is this a good eng verb) already but still not always with success !!
But as i said in last weekend devotion...I'm God's Child.....I want to be His Child........!!

In my relationship with The Lord anytime i "fell short" is when i try to do things in my OWN power....The enemy distracts starting in my my MIND and FLESH...
At first i didn't understand and breakdown and cry before the LORD in despair and i know because i always did that no matter i fell short in daiyly life...He covered up the effects of my mistakes to handle "chaos" in my mind and life.......

Everytime He is pointing me to PRAY and read HIS WORD...

Over and over He asked me the questions

- Are you committed to ME
- To your dh's
-To your children
-to youreself to lay down your will and to change to become who I intend you ?
-are you disciplined
-do you put your priorities straight

So making time to PRAY ( also quick prayers) and reading His Word is where i must start and stay committed and disciplined in it than i can act -PEACEFULLY- and SEE CLEARLY where He is leading me
My kids " feel saved" because mummy is not in "panic mood" or depressed ...I see them and build -up lasting relationships with them..

Sharing about God in lifesituations daily......singing together with them.......doing other activities.....Praise them instead of nagging........

When Peace comes in the Storm is calmed!

The verse what calms me instantly is
Philippians 4:6

6-7Don't
fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your
worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a
sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and
settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the
center of your life.

Signs, Miracles and Wonders Saturday!~ WORTHY IS THE LAMB~

Today is than Sings my Soul Saturday at signs miracles and wonders ( the song and dance is at the end of this saturday's devo.... in fact..my 1 st....bear with me...)

This morning i was lead to look up versus around giving our worries to God and what it aquiers from me.........
I'm a verry..verry visual person so that's why the bold and colored letters......so you could follow my mind
And as you see i love the Message translation.

Ephesians 6:14 (The Message)

13-18Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open.
Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Philippians 4:6 (The Message)

6-7Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when CHRIST displaces worry at the center of your life

Psalm 55:22 (The Message)

22-23 Pile your troubles on God's shoulders
he'll carry your load, he'll help you out.
He'll never let good people
topple into ruin.
But you, God, will throw the others
into a muddy bog,
Cut the lifespan of assassins
and traitors in half.

And I trust in you.

A David Psalm, When He Was Captured
by the Philistines in Gath

Proverbs 3:5 (The Message)

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
( he said it above already eph)
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.

Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will
vibrate with life!
Honor
God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's disci
pline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.

JOIN TOGETHER ALL THE REDS WITH ME!!

Be prepared

Gods Word is an indispensable weapon and
Prayer

Let petitions and praises, shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

CHRIST displaces
Pile your troubles on God's shoulders (visualize it....what a mighty God we have isn't it!! full of love and compassion)

WHAT.......

I TRUST
GOD
Listen for HIS VOICE ( no one elses...the world ( common accepted) believes...,enemies wispering/negative thinking fe)
Honour God with my FIRST and BEST.
DON'T resent DISCIPLINE and SULK under HIS loving CORRECTION!!

WHY

IT'S THE CHILD HE LOVES !!..........that GOD corrects !!

Conclusion
If i kick and fight against it or feel frustrated...
I want to be a stubborn child!! Or behave like that...I'm not listening to His voice.......
I don't want to accept His Love...
and discipline and corrections....Which i get when i go to Him in prayer and His Word.....
( side thought...if i neglect to pray and be in the word i let the enemy distract or steal my time... i hide for my "daddy" isn't it or i'm at least far to reach........!!)

I told you i love to make a picture of things in my mind.........I see "my kids when i discipline and correct them!!" Remember my last TT post.... God use situations with my kids to understand Him best...to speak to me....
In both directions to see MYSELF in relationship to HIM and to get directions to discipline and corrects my own Kids in a Godly manner using Gods values and standards.........It's not easy ( but did He say in His word it would be easy?)

Friends let's meditate on God's word and bring everything to Him in prayer....
When i feel far away drifted from God i take psalm 51 written by David and set my heart on to it and start saying those words........

1-3Generous in love—God, give grace! Huge in mercy—wipe out my bad record. Scrub away my guilt, soak out my sins in your laundry. I know how bad I've been; my sins are staring me down. 4-6 You're the One I've violated, and you've seen it all, seen the full extent of my evil. You have all the facts before you; whatever you decide about me is fair. I've been out of step with you for a long time, in the wrong since before I was born. What you're after is truth from the inside out. Enter me, then; conceive a new, true life. 7-15 Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean, scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life. Tune me in to foot-tapping songs, set these once-broken bones to dancing. Don't look too close for blemishes, give me a clean bill of health. God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don't throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me. Bring me back from gray exile, put a fresh wind in my sails! Give me a job teaching rebels your ways so the lost can find their way home. Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God, and I'll sing anthems to your life-giving ways. Unbutton my lips, dear God; I'll let loose with your praise. 16-17 Going through the motions doesn't please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice. 18-19 Make Zion ( ME) the place you delight in, repair Jerusalem's ( MY HEART AND MIND) broken-down walls. Then you'll get real worship from us ( ME), acts of worship small and large, Including all the bulls ( sacrifices) they ( I) can heave onto your altar!

When you pray this psalm to our heavenly dad we know, believe and trust( because His word said it also to us....whiche verse....??)that it touches His heart and His voice speak to our heart and minds who are now open to be filled and spill over........
Our mouths can start praising and worshipping to our Lord and speak out the words of this also awesome psalm ( i can't get enough friends....)

Psalm 34
1 I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise.

2 I live and breathe God;
if things aren't going well, hear this and be happy:

3 Join me in spreading the news;
together let's get the word out.

4 God met me more than halfway,
he freed me from my anxious fears.

5 Look at him; give him your warmest smile.
Never hide your feelings from him.

6 When I was desperate, I called out,
and God got me out of a tight spot.

7 God's angel sets up a circle
of protection around us while we pray.

8 Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to him.

9 Worship God if you want the best;
worship opens doors to all his goodness.

10 Young lions on the prowl get hungry,
but God-seekers are full of God.

11 Come, children, listen closely;
I'll give you a lesson in God worship.

12 Who out there has a lust for life?
Can't wait each day to come upon beauty?

Is your heart not full are you not experiencing a sense of GOD'S WHOLENESS everything coming together for good ....( philipians 4:6-7 above) ??

My choice of music is on this beautifull
worship video.

Weekend Greetings!

Psalm 127:3 (The Message)
Don't you see that children are God's best gift? The fruit of the womb his generous legacy?

3 For ALL the opportunity's my kids gave me by meeting there friends and frequently there parents to share the LOVE of God or be a witness for Him.

4 For the part i may "play" in there life choices.

5 That my children bring me closer to "My Father in heaven" without Him i can't
raise children with Godly values......Without His blessing and wisdom all my
efforts are in vain!

Thankful THURSDAY !!!!

I love that my two sisters Iris and Sharon came up with this idea to reflect on our week
and think about what we are thankful about!

This afternoon when i remember i must make an TT i was surprised how fast a week goes....
Think about it,,,how fast does a day goes how fast our LIFE...

That's why we must use our time wise and life with a purpose.....!

I read the "dayword" out of my Moravian dayword book and it said...

Micah 6:8 (The Message)

8But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do,
what God is looking for in men and women.
It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor,
be compassionate and loyal in your love,
And don't take yourself too seriously—
  take God seriously.

I"M THANKFUL LORD

1 YOU gave me the BIBLE " The word" ;wth all this wisdom inside.....how to LIVE

2 YOU send Your son JESUS CHRIST " The living Word" to earth for me for everyone.......
as an example HOW to LIVE
He was FAIR- JUST-COMPASSIONATE and LOYAL-PURE LOVE....

3 For the HOLY SPIRIT who is given to us; who believe in YOUR SON and want to lay down our lifes....,, to LIFE PURPOSEFULLY !

I had to start with these " Trinithy thank you " so to say because the more i talk and come accross NEIGHBOURS of other religion......I realize more and more how SIMPLE OUR FATHER GOD made it for us....We only need to LiVE out of HIS LOVE ( his spirit) and share it....

4 For the "field" God put me ( and family) in to share HIS LOVE ......

5That you kept us from catching this terriblef lu or cold that is going around...and was trying to find his way trough my son

6 For the simple basic things what we had this week; food, shelter, safety to life in a free country, financial means.......

7For the life of my kids and that i may watch them grow up..and that You entrust them to me and my dh's as their parents.

8 For this 2TH MONTH OF the YEAR who is coming to an end and can say we felt YOUR presence and AMAZING LOVE who led us so far!

Thankful THURSDAY !!!!

Psalm 105 (The Message)

1-6 Hallelujah! Thank God! Pray to him by name!
Tell everyone you meet what he has done!
Sing him songs, belt out hymns,
translate his wonders into music!
Honor his holy name with Hallelujahs,
you who seek God. Live a happy life!
Keep your eyes open for God, watch for his works;
be alert for signs of his presence.
Remember the world of wonders he has made,
his miracles, and the verdicts he's rendered—
O seed of Abraham, his servant,
O child of Jacob, his chosen.

7-15 He's God, our God,
in charge of the whole earth.
And he remembers, remembers his Covenant—
for a thousand generations he's been as good as his word.
It's the Covenant he made with Abraham,
the same oath he swore to Isaac,
The very statute he established with Jacob,
the eternal Covenant with Israel,
Namely, "I give you the land.
Canaan is your hill-country inheritance."
When they didn't count for much,
a mere handful, and strangers at that,
Wandering from country to country,
drifting from pillar to post,
He permitted no one to abuse them.
He told kings to keep their hands off:
"Don't you dare lay a hand on my anointed,
don't hurt a hair on the heads of my prophets."

16-22 Then he called down a famine on the country,
he broke every last blade of wheat.
But he sent a man on ahead:
Joseph, sold as a slave.
They put cruel chains on his ankles,
an iron collar around his neck,
Until God's word came to the Pharaoh,
and God confirmed his promise.
God sent the king to release him.
The Pharaoh set Joseph free;
He appointed him master of his palace,
put him in charge of all his business
To personally instruct his princes
and train his advisors in wisdom.

23-42 Then Israel entered Egypt,
Jacob immigrated to the Land of Ham.
God gave his people lots of babies;
soon their numbers alarmed their foes.
He turned the Egyptians against his people;
they abused and cheated God's servants.
Then he sent his servant Moses,
and Aaron, whom he also chose.
They worked marvels in that spiritual wasteland,
miracles in the Land of Ham.
He spoke, "Darkness!" and it turned dark—
they couldn't see what they were doing.
He turned all their water to blood
so that all their fish died;
He made frogs swarm through the land,
even into the king's bedroom;
He gave the word and flies swarmed,
gnats filled the air.
He substituted hail for rain,
he stabbed their land with lightning;
He wasted their vines and fig trees,
smashed their groves of trees to splinters;
With a word he brought in locusts,
millions of locusts, armies of locusts;
They consumed every blade of grass in the country
and picked the ground clean of produce;
He struck down every firstborn in the land,
the first fruits of their virile powers.
He led Israel out, their arms filled with loot,
and not one among his tribes even stumbled.
Egypt was glad to have them go—
they were scared to death of them.
God spread a cloud to keep them cool through the day
and a fire to light their way through the night;
They prayed and he brought quail,
filled them with the bread of heaven;
He opened the rock and water poured out;
it flowed like a river through that desert—
All because he remembered his Covenant,
his promise to Abraham, his servant.

43-45 Remember this! He led his people out singing for joy;
his chosen people marched, singing their hearts out!
He made them a gift of the country they entered,
helped them seize the wealth of the nations
So they could do everything he told them—
could follow his instructions to the letter.

Hallelujah!

Reading and learning !!

I did not post for awhile due to not knowing what to post and my browser isn't working properly so i can't make some nice postings with links and pics Anyway.I want to try to post my readings on a day and see what i can blog about that....

Matthew 5:3-11 (The Message)

3"You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.

4"You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.

5"You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought.

6"You're blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.

7"You're blessed when you care. At the moment of being 'care-full,' you find yourselves cared for.

8"You're blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

9"You're blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That's when you discover who you really are, and your place in God's family.

10"You're blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God's kingdom.

11-12"Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don't like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

I was brought to this reading because i start with a " coffee cup Bible Studie" book from Sandra Glahn " Mocha on the Mount"
When i heard about the title i was "gigling" in myself visualizing drinking my favorite drink on a mountain and LISTENING TO JESUS !!

In my innocence i assume myselfe enjoying the drink and relaxing!!

BUT those words STIRRED me up....I heard and read them before but it was like a voive said " YOU WANT TO FOLLOW THIS IS WHAT I WANT.." Like this you MUST look at things .

In my core being, i felt it goes AGAINST my nature.......
It is not a view what will make me popular or understand
I must be at the end of my ROPE.....with less of me there is more of God.
I must give up everything..
Be happy with youreself.....
Be hungry for God..
My heart and mind must be put right......other wise i can't se God in the outside world.
Peacemaker
My commitment to God must provoke persecution.....

WOW...

My conversation went like this.

"God i can't do this,on my own"......." Did i tell you to do it on your own"

" Do you really mean i must give everything up what is dear to me.."." Yes because all what you have is
mine...Do you Love me......"
Think about Abraham who had to
sacrafice Isaac
" I feel guilthy Lord"..............." I send my son He rok EVERYTHING on Him...your guidt...your...........
He told you in those verses you must put your INSIDE WORLD straight
your HEART, MIND are you not doing it right noware you not seeing me!!!

" YES LORD I SEE i understand forgive me IN JESUS NAME....
AMEN "

Word for this Year

Luke 18: 27

(The Message)
"No chance at all," Jesus said, "if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."

(Contemporary English Version)
Jesus replied, "There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything."

This year word is written in My daily word book of the Moravian Church

When i notice this word ...my instant thought was " Jesus you know exactly what my weak spot is and will be the coming year.... and out of LOVE you are warning me not to rely on myself or others but on GOD" !!

I'm happy he did and will keep this verse in front of my mind.....

I thought to post some info about my churchhome. And if you feel led to hold us up in prayer...I feel this is an transition time for us as a churchfamily..

The area with Ds Polanen is the former pastor ( my uncle) who deceased last year januari unexpectedly.

I planned to do this when i read it at LORI last week.....but te closer the day arrived...the more "jitters" i got to put "pen on paper"

Why is this i asked myself.........I believe God is at work to bring me to this new venture to blog........... He want me to put "pen on paper" to see HIS work in progress in my life especially this year of 2009

My HOPES, DREAMS and GOALS

I will write those tree " adventures" in prayer form

Lord my hope is in You ( ps 39:7) for You are my hope ( ps 71:5) Work in me that i put my hope in your Word ( ps 119: 147).I commit myself to seek You daily. To let Your words be my strenght.

I have a lot of Dreams Lord let me dream the dreams YOU have in mind for me and for my family.

As i know You said " For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are my ways " ( isiah55:8)

This is what You made me realize in 2008 so let my thoughts and my dreams align with Yours

Lord this year.

My Goals Lord......I want to lay aside every weight, and the sin what so easily stand in the way. I want to run the race that is set before me with endurance......., looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of my faith ( Hebr 12:1-2)

My Christmas of 2008 and BELATED THANKFULL THURSDAY !!

I realized today that the week went this year so fast.........
Maybe because i also had to work 4 days and maybe because i made long days to arrange things at home. i was extending to decorate and buying a x-mas tree and lacking to organize the household properly due to different reasons.
But praise God when i was biking early monday morning to my work : the thought crossed my mind....." Maybe you are not feeling MERRY but you are BLESSED "!!
This year a lot was taken away from me (us) physically..... emotionally ....and financially......
It started in JANUARY when my uncle and pastor of the church i attend died unexpectedly...... I was and am not sad but it was a shock and confrontation how soon your life can end......At a burial friday he got sick in the evening he went in a coma and never woke-up again....monday night he was given up......
End of FEBRUARY i got a miscarriage.........i was just startingto believe i was pregnant again.........
I believe i lived untill the summer in a kind of denial i was sad about the miscarriage......
And in-between in MAY my fathers brother was killed by robbers . He lived in Surinam but the last two years he traveled a lot up and down for health treatments and than he loved to see me and the kids and came too look the activity's what my kids did so he was like a kind of grandad for them the last two years. Because they do not see my parents bc they are not coming over frequently...
Along the way we had all kind of financial problems concerning our own business, we where close to loosing our shop ....BUT GOD did it for us friends and custumors rallied .and came up with money..........At the end of the year we have paid them all back........and we have now professional help to organize the finances.....
In AUGUST and SEPTEMBER i had a body breakdown i believe that not giving way to my emotions maked my body locked-down.I could not walked and function for some weeks and my hormones were out of control.........

But as i said in the beginning i realized in the beginning of this week .....THAT I'M BLESSED even i do not feel "MERRY"
The best part stayed......
- GOD,,JESUS CHRIST never left me even not forsaked me.
Through all the storms He said to me "BE NOT AFRAID !!
- My dh's grew so close too God this year. It started in 2007 but this year i witnessed the fruits of Gods spirit in his life..
- My kids love to talk about God. they pray and my dd love to use her voice to praise God.
How much kids nowadays are raised up without God and have other interest
-We have a place we can call our home
- We have eachother no divorce, no seperation, no sickness.....
- We life in a stable and safe country
I think i can go on and on about different kind of blessings....

I just realized i had to do yesterday thankfull thursday but i forgot......
This i will make as my THANKFULL THURSDAY.5....

1 My realization i described above why i'm blessed...

2 I did it to make an alterative tree ( If i could make a picture i would have put it)

3 For the unexpected small family gathering after church at my aunt( mothers sis) who live beside the church

4 That the kids are happy with their presents no matter they were not the requested ones....

5 I could bless the elderly while serving them on christmas.......

Like this i gave a twist to my post to tell about my week.year and even do a belated thankfull thursday still

Be blessed
Bernice

The Simplicity of life hidden in Christ

More of Him, less of me
More of His ways, less of mine
More of His wise will, less of my self will
More dependence on Him, less dependence on me
More of His increase, more of my decrease
More of His speaking, more of my listening
More of His leading, more of my following
More deeply surrendered, more filled with faith
More shaking in the world, more steadiness in my soul
More darker the days, more brighter His light
More treacherous the journey, more tighter the grip
More challenging my circumstances, more greater the chance to see His glory
More complicated my life, more certain my need to simply trust in Him

It's just that simple.

I read this on Deborah's blog http://www.xanga.com/ItrustYouLord I admire her a lot how she deal with life's difficulty's.

Blessed 4th Atvent weekend

THANKFUL THURSDAY !!!!

Click on the picture if you like to join this and add to Mr Linky at Sonya's

My 5 today are.....

1 I'm thankful at the end of this day that the pain in my throat ,which i woke up with this morning ,didn't set in further. And that i could finish my job today with enough energy.

2 I'm Thankful for the food i could put on the table and that the kids loved it

3 Yesterday night i was contemplating what i will put on my thankful list
My house-doctor came to mind, To whom i paid a visit yesterday. I appreciate his compassion and time he give his patients.I think( i never asked him) due to his age and maybe health he works not anymore a full week and take longer vacations. But untill now i always apreciate him more and more after a visit with one of his colleges. It pains me to think that he has to stop with his job........

4 I'm thankful simply for today

5 I'm thankful that my kids bless me today with no "upheavel" about small things..like who looks which program...or teasing eachother ....Today NOTHING happened what stretched my patience.....LOL....

Thanks for visiting.....
Blessings

7 Christmases

1 MY 1st Christmas in Europe...
My first 2 winters in Holland where the two last seasons in history of the " Elfstedentocht" That is like a marathon skating through eleven city's in the north of Holand on nature ice.........
So you could imagine that it was freezing cold especially as an child from the tropics.........
For me i spend Christmas with a family wiith 3 sons and the mother was Dutch and the father from my birthcountry Surinam
It was only laughing, eating, sleeping and presents.......NOTHING about Christ........
I missed my granny's the most.the warm weather and the christmaseve service.........

2 " My home is my castle"
When i had my own space in the "big city" of Amsterdam not anymore in a student flat but a one room appartment
I decorated it ...looked for a verry small tree and made my own x-mas home. Nobody understand why i wanted to be in my own home by myself etc.......
Around that time i was verry active in the youth group and choir of the Moravian Church Amsterdam so i loved to have x-mas with my church youth family. I remembered my niece who came to visit me with her newbornbaby my " Godchild" ( i don't know if this is the good eng. word ).I made a beautifull picture with her beside and not under " My tree" LOL I wished i could put that picture on here, I remember it untill today so vividly that i got x-mas visitors and this year it was 18 years ago bc the baby turned 18 last october

3 The 1st christmas with my own baby under the tree
My baby girl Ife who turned 10 last month...was that baby ten years ago.....
And it was a verry special x-mas my parents came over so it was my 1st x-mas with them in Holland and now not only as their daughter but as a wife and mum......
We had the 2nd day of the new year after that x-mas a big "baby welcoming celebration" that is a celebration that is held esp for your 1st child in my husbands culture. He is from Nigeria......
When i digitalize all my pictures oneday and i'm still blogging i will make a blog about it.......
I discovered around that time more about my dh's background and how family and social relationships are build up and sustained in the African culture....Relatives and friends came from over the border for this celebration.........

4 Xmas in Surinam

This happened two times since i came to Holland in 1985.Both not planned but due to circumstances unexpectedly going to the Lord of my grandfather of 80th years i believe 13 years ago and In 2004 of my great-aunt( grandmothers sister) who raised my mum.
I put them both as one memory bc of what strucked me both times is rally of the community and family in times of sorrow to help with organizing the funeral and the evenings of singing with the family and bringing of food and drink in those evenings.
There was no sadness but celebration of life and the hope knowing of meeting again!
The experience of this made me appreciate this of my "roots" culture so to say....
I saw so opposite in western society ...........also with younger generations from my country who grow up in Holland.......
The x-mases after was special bc we celebrated Christ birth through who we have hope after dead who we experience more closer in times of sorrow and THE LOVE He shed in our hearts we could feel it between us as a family.
My grandmother was so strong after my grandfathers death and gave such a testimony of Christ in her life who will help her through........
My aunties funeral was a celebration of a life of 90th years well spend in Service for the community as an optricien and farmecist and establishing the SOS children village and an Old-age house as an honour to her mother who had it as a dream.
She never married but had a lot of children as she said.....
Her faith in The Lord was also strong and she played organ every sunday in church........
I'm so proud that i got examples of verry strong blackwoman who served the Lord with their talents and who where blessed with long life..

I think the last tree memories will have links with my two grannys also and an 3th who still is a life and who will be God willing 90th years coming years. She was like a nanny who grew up with my grandmother and great-aunt....
She came in their house to have a better life in the city than with her parents and helped the mother of the house ........
She stayed and as she said "She pledged to the mother of the house " to take care of my great-aunt who only wanted to study and travel the world and serving community..........Her mother worried who would take care of her...........

5 X-mas memories with "Nene Dina" as i called her.....

She nursed me often and filled in the gaps when my mother was verry bussy ( she took after my great-aunt Es only got married with my dad)
Ne ne Dina had a listening ear to me and learned me how and when to fold my hands and why...........How a lady must behave ,what to wear to church etc.......
So X-MASS EVE as i can recall i went ALWAYS with her........
My parents where no church goers....Sundays i was always picked up by my great-aunt and this lady ( Yes she was driving a car.......She was the 1st black woman in Surinam with a car...)

We both where dressed in white and the only decoration could be red ribbons in my braids LOL
Singing all those Christmas carols and the hide was that everyone get a candle and the lights went out while singing the song " Morgenster na donkre nacht" ( transl. Morningstar after darknight)
After the service we wished eachother Merry X-mas and walked to my great-aunts house above the farmacy in the middle of the town.......
That evening i think now was the free( from work) evening bc the house was made ready for all the nieces and nephews and other kids to come over and than was an children x-mas celebration hold..
Trees, presents a mistletoe..Aunty Es played organ and we sang or play a x-mas play....drinks and food ( all brought by family....and friends or what she got from business relations....)

6 Christmas preperations to give to others

Weeks maybe months before this great-aunt Es and now also my Grand-mother plan to make presents for lonely people at home......And to sell as fundraising to buy presents for kids who mostly don't get presents..
Also the parts to make the christmas decorations and or presents came frequently from friends from abroad who my aunty asked to fundraise....
I remember boxes with pine tree apples...,Ribbons., Spomge to stick the greenery and candles in
I wrap a lot of white candles with red ribbons. And made table decorations with candles and greenery.
Christmascards where made diffeent styles...
My grandmother love to do embroderie so table clothes where made.......
At last a christmas market could be held in front of my aunties pharmacy.....
And i bake together with nene Dina christmas cookies also to sell all for fundraising.....

7 My last Christmas with my grandmother and her Youngest sister ( aunty Agnes)

This was in 2004 the x-mas after Aunty Es funeral a week befor x-mas.
My grandmother was housebound and her younger sister lived already that time in the Oldage House what was established in honour for their mother...
My mother told me an x-mas service was held for the elderly i think it was 20 or 23th of december....
I planned to celebrate this evening with this aunthy who was a little bit cut out of contact with family bc of her living in this old-age house...she also never married and had no children and she was a little bit the spoiled babysister. As i understand she had some learning disabilities but this aunthy was the "street wisist" so to say........
My grandmother was the only one of the 3 sister who married
Anyway i said i want to bring my grandmother to celebrate x-mas with her sister bc only the two where left over from a family of 8..........
I convinced my granny and used my skills to lift her up,putting her in the car and hired a wheelchair......
people in the old-age house where so happy to see her ( bc some she knew... before) Her sister was so happy and all of us.
We made an 4 generation picture( Granny-mum- me and my dd Ife) under the picture of my great-grandmother so in fact it was 5 generation....
The service was awesome and made more special bc electrivity went out and the whole service was by candlelight....
little did we know that this would be the last Christmas for those two sister. In May aunty Agnes went to the Lord and my grand-mother went 16 of november just the same date as her DH years before. We where all surprised but i knew in my heart God knew all and planned all details
This x-mas was for me an beautifull fare-well memorie of them both. I felt at peace with this memorie like God combined the oppurtunity to make this memorie with them and to say goodby like that in the flesh instead of going to their burial as closer of their life.
With my great-aunt was different she asked me if i could come on her 90th birthday..i said it wasn't possible due to school holidays so i told her i book for december and she said oke and died just a week before my booked day....

In all those memories i can say .......God is so Good and i'm thankfull, he gave me all those memories........

Christmas blessings to all of you!

Feel free to leave an message that you came over !

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
