Jesus cried “abba, father” to God (mark 14:36), and st. paul tells us in romans 8:15 “the Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship, and by him we cry, “Abba, Father”, and again in galatians 4:6 “because you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father”.
Watchword for the Week -- Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same
Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord. 1
Corinthians 12:4,5
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33
Today's New Testament Verse
Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will. Hebrews 13:20–21
Today's Prayer
Lord, what a huge burden you’ve lifted from me. Thank you for being my Maker. You make your covenant with me. In every way you can complete your will in me. I regret that I still resist your Spirit. Show me what you have written on the walls of my heart and help me to share your message today. Faithful One, remind us of your everlasting love. Help us to show that
love to others. By your resurrection power, may we seek justice and give
freely to those in need in our community and our world. Amen.
read already some "bits and pieces' and really enjoy all the beautiful video's.But this morning i carved the time out to sit read and speak out those affirmations.
This serie will help me for sure to go throug the year more Intentionally
Bernice didn't choose Me, but I chose Bernice, and appointed her, that sheshould go and bear fruit, and that herfruit should remain; that whatever Bernice will ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to her.
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
25 I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."
Most assuredly I tell you, if Bernice hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, Bernice has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but she has passed out of death into life.
On the 29th decemer 2008 I wrote this on my blog as an "New Years meditation" .I believe God is at work to bring me to this new venture to blog........... He want me to put "pen on paper" to see HIS work in progress in my life especially this year of 2009
My HOPES, DREAMS and GOALS
I will write those tree " adventures" in prayer form
Lord my hope is in You ( ps 39:7) for You are my hope ( ps 71:5) Work in me that i put my hope in your Word ( ps 119: 147).I commit myself to seek You daily. To let Your words be my strenght.
I have a lot of Dreams Lord let me dream the dreams YOU have in mind for me and for my family.
As i know You said " For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are my ways " ( isiah55:8)
This is what You made me realize in 2008 so let my thoughts and my dreams align with Yours
Lord this year.
My Goals Lord......I want to lay aside every weight, and the sin what so easily stand in the way. I want to run the race that is set before me with endurance......., looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of my faith( Hebr 12:1-2)
Practicly i will make DAILY time to spend with the Lord.
I will commit myself to be aware that I am the hands and the feet of the finisher of my faith in this world Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior!
Amen
This same prayer i take in this year with me again... Will read those verses more through the year to stay focused When i reflect on last year i see i must strive to be more disciplined to carve time in my day to spend time with the Lord.....
Looking towards the New Year the last week s of December made me question... What will this new year bring us........ I do not see the end of our financial struggles...... My daughter will switch elementery school for secondary.... Thinking about her becoming an "teen" now made me hold my breath/heart....... I could not see myself clearly in the ministry God put before my family to do His work...... The more i stand still to think about aprouching the new Year the more i wanted not to think about it...........
But God so good gave an YEAR WORD for 2010 in my Moravian Dailytext Devotion

Psalm 12 Genesis 19:30-20:18; Matthew 7:13-23
Yet I planted you as a choice vine, from the purest stock. How then did
you turn degenerate and become a wild vine? Jeremiah 2:21
Are you so foolish? Did you experience so much for nothing? Galatians 3:3-4
Merciful One, we confess that we have rebelled against you in our hearts, actions, and words, and divided your church. Melt our hearts to become united and set ablaze with your Spirit, turning away from foolishness. Amen.
Let's read together the verses of today out of the msg version:
1-2 Quick, God, I need your helping hand! The last decent person just went down,
All the friends I depended on gone.
Everyone talks in lie language;
Lies slide off their oily lips.
They doubletalk with forked tongues.
3-4 Slice their lips off their faces! Pull
The braggart tongues from their mouths!
I'm tired of hearing, "We can talk anyone into anything!
Our lips manage the world."
5 Into the hovels of the poor,
Into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks:
"I've had enough; I'm on my way
To heal the ache in the heart of the wretched."
6-8 God's words are pure words,
Pure silver words refined seven times
In the fires of his word-kiln,
Pure on earth as well as in heaven.
God, keep us safe from their lies,
From the wicked who stalk us with lies,
From the wicked who collect honors
For their wonderful lies.
30 Lot left Zoar and went into the mountains to live with his two daughters; he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He lived in a cave with his daughters.
31-32 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is getting old and there's not a man left in the country by whom we can get pregnant. Let's get our father drunk with wine and lie with him. We'll get children through our father—it's our only chance to keep our family alive."
33-35 They got their father drunk with wine that very night. The older daughter went and lay with him. He was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did. The next morning the older said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Tonight, it's your turn. We'll get him drunk again and then you sleep with him. We'll both get a child through our father and keep our family alive." So that night they got their father drunk again and the younger went in and slept with him. Again he was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did.
36-38 Both daughters became pregnant by their father, Lot. The older daughter had a son and named him Moab, the ancestor of the present-day Moabites. The younger daughter had a son and named him Ben-Ammi, the ancestor of the present-day Ammonites.
Genesis 20
1-2 Abraham traveled from there south to the Negev and settled down between Kadesh and Shur. While he was camping in Gerar, Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She's my sister."
2-3 So Abimelech, king of Gerar, sent for Sarah and took her. But God came to Abimelech in a dream that night and told him, "You're as good as dead—that woman you took, she's a married woman."
4-5 Now Abimelech had not yet slept with her, hadn't so much as touched her. He said, "Master, would you kill an innocent man? Didn't he tell me, 'She's my sister'? And didn't she herself say, 'He's my brother'? I had no idea I was doing anything wrong when I did this."
6-7 God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know your intentions were pure, that's why I kept you from sinning against me; I was the one who kept you from going to bed with her. So now give the man's wife back to him. He's a prophet and will pray for you—pray for your life. If you don't give her back, know that it's certain death both for you and everyone in your family."
8-9 Abimelech was up first thing in the morning. He called all his house servants together and told them the whole story. They were shocked. Then Abimelech called in Abraham and said, "What have you done to us? What have I ever done to you that you would bring on me and my kingdom this huge offense? What you've done to me ought never to have been done."
10 Abimelech went on to Abraham, "Whatever were you thinking of when you did this thing?"
11-13Abraham said, "I just assumed that there was no fear of God in this place and that they'd kill me to get my wife. Besides, the truth is that she is my half sister; she's my father's daughter but not my mother's. When God sent me out as a wanderer from my father's home, I told her, 'Do me a favor; wherever we go, tell people that I'm your brother.'"
14-15 Then Abimelech gave Sarah back to Abraham, and along with her sent sheep and cattle and servants, both male and female. He said, "My land is open to you; live wherever you wish."
16 And to Sarah he said, "I've given your brother a thousand pieces of silver—that clears you of even a shadow of suspicion before the eyes of the world. You're vindicated."
17-18 Then Abraham prayed to God and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his maidservants, and they started having babies again. For God had shut down every womb in Abimelech's household on account of Sarah, Abraham's wife.
13-14"Don't look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention.
15-20"Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don't be impressed with charisma; look for character.Whopreachers are is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be chopped down and burned.
21-23"Knowing the correct password—saying 'Master, Master,' for instance— isn't going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, 'Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.' And do you know what I am going to say? 'You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don't impress me one bit. You're out of here.'
"Jesus Jesus thank You Lord for Your word of Wisdom and guiding to KNOW what it is all that it is going about"!
Second Sunday after the Epiphany Watchword for the Week -- Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same

Isaiah 62:1-5; Psalm 36:5-10 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; John 2:1-11
I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I
will pour my spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing on your

God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba!
Father!" Galatians 4:6
Gracious Father, we are thirsty for you. Pour your Spirit upon our families today -- our church family and our loved ones. Allow your streams to flow through the desert places in our hearts through your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
My thoughts went to think about how does GOD SPEAK to me......
Definately through music and creation. In my blogpost for TSMSS yesterday the words of the song spoke to me about Gods FAITHFULLNESS but the video was also beautiful full of tropical beauty.....made me remember my birthcountry and the schoolholidays spend in the reservations established by "boys rangers" in the middle of the Amazone.......
I feel so blessed that i grow up close to nature in the tropics " Surinam" a pearl of a country in the Amazone forest!
The waterfalls...The tropic rains, the animals who live around you and not in zoo
To notice how a seed grows and become a beautiful flower or a vegetable or fruit to eat.....
As a child i realize that i am part of nature and God take care of me just like he take care of the animals. The power in how things grow and in the storms and tropical rains and how night turns in day. Is the same power what God brings in my live when i look up to Him for His diretions....
It is amazing......
It is so important to look at nature and see God and aknowledge Him for what He has done and is doing...We are part of His artwork! Read what i found in the message translation
Romans 1:20 (The Message)
Ignoring God Leads to a Downward Spiral
18-23But God's angry displeasure erupts as acts of human mistrust and wrongdoing and lying accumulate, as people try to put a shroud over truth. But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines you can buy at any roadside stand.

We will say no more, "Our God," to the work of our hands. Hosea 14:3
Gods made with hands are not gods. Acts 19:26
All which we create on our own is vanity, but everything you create is good! We shall not continue to trust in our own creation, but rather praise you in your good works to the ends of the earth. Amen.

be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Over the next week, I would like you to look back at your past. What was the biggest step you have taken? What was your greatest fear about taken this particular step? Failure, insecurity, rejection? I would love to hear about your past fear(s) and how you have overcome it. What brought you through?
My biggest steps ??
1 Leaving my parents and my birth country at age of 18 I do not remember to be FEARFULL initially......I was excited....i wanted to discover the World....I felt i would achieve at last Freedom!....LOL......I believe it had to do with my age.... BUT along the way.....Fear started creeping in........... All the above Iris mentioned.........I encountered.......I wanted to prove myself that i can stand on my own.....build up an life etc......I felt insecure in making choices.......I felt rejected when especially my parents and family started questioning why i choose to stay in Holland...Why i choose to do another study ...etc...... Well i am praising God that He was and stayed with me all the way....AND that i remembered the wise words from my "Grandmother..."Always take your bible and pray.......and know I always pray for you"!..... I remember me taking this to heart and i surged to join at the church i was baptized in and start socializing....and being active in the youth group..........
2nd major step was was falling in love "head over heels" and deciding to join our lives in marriage!!
I remember not withstanding i was living in a very "pink bubble" I was fearfull to be married........ My fear was to give up my freedom in an way.......Like i have now to negotiate and choose etc........ I was fearfull if our differences in background...language would matter in our relationship...I feared rejection of my husband by friends and family....... I knew my choices didn't fit the picture people had of me.......
Well to make it short God knew that nudging me to get married...was to bring me closer to Him....To learn to look at things marriage...my husband children...marriage values not with my eyes but with His eyes........And not withstanding all those mixed feelings I felt safe and loved and seen as who i am...by my husband........I could be at my ugliest and my loveliest i KNOW i was loved!! Now i know that is the best thing what can happen to you!
3th Major step was beside my own parttime job ...beginning an beauty-business together with my husband............ All fear to start it melted away because we believed in the concept and we saw the opportunities as an gift of God to us............. But to handle and manage and work together and staying foccused on the leading of God in the directions he wanted us to go...went in different twists and turns but.........God stayed FAITHFULL...I give Him and Him alone all the glory.... For where i am now in my relationship with Him...And where i am now with my husband and children....... We still have the business.......I'm not working anymore in it.......... Our marriage went to different seasons but His love kept us together and we share His love with eachoter as an family........No matter we can fight and have times of feeling insecure....He is in the middle and is the head of our family and will always be.........
I wrote an testimony last year along some questions sister Laura -Lee asked. You can read it as some more inside to those 'big steps"
God is so FAITHFULL and i putted my TRUST in Him especially and more so when storms started to blow in my Life! I know there will be more big steps in my future, but i may know to take them Trust and Rest in Him.........
This song spoke to me this week and i find it fitting to bring Him Praise and Glory for all He did for me untill this day!
It's for me already afternoon Half of this friday has past already i realized..... This morningwent in an "blur"........Kids to school.....need to do an errand in the local shopping centre....came back home looked around.....Need to do a lot of cleaning-up and de-cluttering....... A plan need to come on paper....A "chore-list".....I'm not good in this planning and making an list....and keeping to the list....... Why i am writing this as my intro to this FEARLESS FRIDAY...because this is how i rushed in this day....without an goal and plan......I see what comes and i see what i do especially when it is not an workday for me........At the end of the day or in the middle ........FEAR or STRESS creeps in .....concerning house keeping....disciplining the kids.....or i ask myself if i am an good mum and spouse ...blah...blah.......
The reason mostly when my day goes in an "blur' and when i wonder in the midle or the end what happenend,is when i forgot or extended to......
TAKE MY BIBLE AND PRAY!! Ask him directions for the day and give Him all my worries ,stress and insecurities........ Take my day devotionaland read the day texts and see how it speaks to me.......
ALWAYS God speaks really we only need to listen and hear.... My verses for today are.....
We who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly
encouraged. Hebrews 6:18 (NIV)
God of the promise, may we cling tightly to the hope which can only be
found in you. Your promises endure from generation to generation and in
them we find meaning and joy. Thank you, eternal One. Amen.
When i stopped an hour ago to stay in this state of an "blur".... Those verses came to me and the thought that IT IS FEARLESS FRIDAY........ A day we gather together and put time aside to pray for eachother.... For what we have on our heart.... Make more time.........for prayer........re-focus on to be and stay prayerfull. Yes i need to pray more and start my day consciousely to focus on Him and His leading...
This morning comes to my mind when i look at the news.......HAITIE.....what an disaster so much loss tears and devastation.......Father help and comfort the people who are victims in need and suffer.....The helpers who are there and on there way lead them and guide them..let the victims see You in those helpers Lord.this i pray in Jesus name......
I'm thinking of my blogfriend Denise and her husband......Praying for healing and strenght for Edie and also for Denise and to stay strong in this storm in there life.
Just read an blog from an sister in christ "Vickki" She wants to get "out of an pit" She brought an book from Beth Moore under our attention......
Pray for Melanie from Bella -Mella and her family for extra strenght in there time of grieve over the loss of there son and brother Andrew nearly one month ago. Her latest post is worth reading "Strenght In The Strain"
In my side bar are more prayer buttons and sites with request...
Don't forget the homeless people who suffer in this winter weather a lot.
Let's pray for ourselfse to be stremghtened by the lord and be open for guidens where he lwant us to go.. Pray for protection of our body soul and mind and falso for our family and loved-ones....
Pray for the Christian blog community to fulfill what He intend us to do in blogworld.
These are my prayers and request lifted up to you Lord... Hear them O Lord in Jesus Name Amen.
Do you think the power of the word "LOVE" has been lost? We use this tiny word to describe so many things. Pizza and puppies. Apple pie and Jesus. We use many words, including love, to describe our Lord. He is awesome, amazing, great, kind.... However, there still is one word we use to describe God, which is ascribed to Him, alone. HOLY Our God is Holy, above all others. I am thankful our God is holy, all-powerful, our protector and redeemer.
What are you thankful for today? Can't wait to read about what you love.
Yes being THANKFUL for God who He is...Holy Sovereign! To know that MY LIFE is in His hands He knows me inside out, better than anyone else.... Before i speak He knows....I can't hide...I can't "fool " my LIVING GOD.....God above all other Gods,Father of Jesus Christ OUR LORD! My HEAVENLY FATHER....
Lord of Lords....Prince of Peace........MY Prince of PEACE...... I am THANKFULL today for THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES.........ALL HIS NAMES
He gave us His WORD to know Him and to learn about His name who He is ..want to be for us........ I am so THANKFUL for His Word today I am THANKFUL for the verses He gave me in those 1st weeks of this brand New Year For the year of 2010

For the country and city i live in i heard Him speak and say:
Psalm 147:12 (The Message)
12-18Holland , worship God! Amsterdam, praise your God! He made your city secure, he blessed your children among you. He keeps the peace at your borders, he puts the best bread on your tables. He launches his promises earthward— how swift and sure they come! He spreads snow like a white fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can survive his winter? Then he gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it's spring! Yesterday He spoke clearly in
Ecclesiastes 5 ( Message)
18-20 After looking at the way things are on this earth, here's what I've decided is the best way to live: Take care of yourself, have a good time, and make the most of whatever job you have for as long as God gives you life. And that's about it. That's the human lot. Yes, we should make the most of what God gives, both the bounty and the capacity to enjoy it, accepting what's given and delighting in the work. It's God's gift! God deals out joy in the present, the now. It's useless to brood over how long we might live.
When i think about it i am already blown away by the God i serve for this year.....No matter what Life what this world throw on us...He is there ........."One prayer away " from us!!
I LOVE GOD indeed but it is more.... bigger than that just as what Lynn whas saying.....God IS HOLY....and it makes you humble to think about it ....He looks at us with so much Love ....He sees us through His Son......He makes us Holy we need to lead an Holy Life give our Life to God!
What do i love.......?
Simple things of Life......laughing,chatting,blogging
Talking about food....pure chocolate with nuts..YUMM, Love meal soups especially in the cold winter.......peasoup,potato soup.........., Noodle soups
I love to live close to water and to have fun with and in water.........Give me the beach......
Being able to enjoy what God has given to you is definitely a gift from Him. Let’s not forget to give credit to Him on a daily basis.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 (New International Version)
19Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God.
In context in The Message
Make the Most of What God Gives

Came accross this picture on "Christian Mingler" and made me remember Old Years eve13 days ago.....
God gaves us this Year of 2010..." our life in 2010",both the bounty and the capacity to enjoy it,accepting what's given and delighting in the work...It's God's gift! I'm repeating the words of the Message version....I love it!

The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours; the world and all that
is in it -- you have founded them. The north and the south -- you
created them. Psalm 89:11-12
In these last days God has spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed
heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds. Hebrews 1:2
Wondrous God, you spoke the world into existence and continue to speak to us through your Son. Give us ears to hear your words so we might better serve and glorify you. Amen .
I'm stirred up for this year of 2010 To PRAY more and deligently and purposefully And He gave me a word for this year..... 1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God(NIV)
So i must be ready to TRUST and i want to ad to the list...
SEEK HIS WILL in EVERYTHING and ALWAYS!
Want to start this year in joining on the 10th of every month E-Lisa at "Extravagant Grace "to pray.....Today the vers and the rest of the psalm i got on my confirmation day 20 years ago.... PSALM 27
Thank You LORD that You are
my light and my salvation—and that there is no need to fear? That YOU are the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh,
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
I'm thinking of making a song with those words......LOL....
In Amsterdam "skating lovers" can't wait that all the canals are frozen in the inner city to do an "canal skate tour" what isn't held in decades.......
The Dutch can't wait tfor the "elevencity tour" to happen again
I remember the tour in the 1986 ( my 1st winter in Holland) that i went all the way to Friesland to see what this is all about....
The celebration beside the ice in the eleven city's( villages) what made an lasting memory for me.....
Partying in the cold!!...LOL...
In this historical play list you get the idea about winters with historic impact
And an side note The eldest son of the Queen did the tour"incognito".... in 1986.When he revealed himself at the finish he earned a lot of respect from the Dutch citizens....
In remenising about this weather season and all the "up-heavel" about it in Holland...I wanted to find an word from the Lord for us and for everybody who has ears to hear!
I found this i substitute my country...(city) substitute yours....
Psalmen 147:12-18 (Het Boek)
12Nederland, beroem u op de HERE! Stad Amsterdam, prijs uw God!
Feel free to leave an message that you came over !
QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!!(from " A MESS") I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
