SUPER SUNDAY~ Don't be afraid!! ~

Sunday, July 5

Fifth Sunday after Pentecost

Watchword for the Week
Jesus says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Ezekiel 2:1-5; Psalm 123
2 Corinthians 12:2-10; Mark 6:1-13

The jar of meal was not emptied, neither did the jug of oil fail, according to
the word of the Lord. 1 Kings 17:16

Do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do
not keep worrying. Your Father knows that you need them. Luke 12:29-30

Source of confidence, forgive us when we become worried and are filled with
doubt. We confess that it is our tendency to keep striving for what we need
because we believe that we are all-sufficient. You are the one we can trust.
Give us this day all that we need. Encourage us with the love that we experience
in the good Shepherd, our Savior Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

I went to google an image for the 1 kings 17 : 16 and found the pottery picture and to reading o the whole chapter i found interesting and love to see it overhere on my blog......

1 Kings 17:1-16 (NRSV)

Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the Lord the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word." The word of the Lord came to him, saying, "Go from here and turn eastward, and hide yourself by the Wadi Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. You shall drink from the wadi, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there." So he went and did according to the word of the Lord; he went and lived by the Wadi Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the wadi. But after a while the wadi dried up, because there was no rain in the land.

Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, "Go now to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and live there; for I have commanded a widow there to feed you." So he set out and went to Zarephath. When he came to the gate of the town, a widow was there gathering sticks; he called to her and said, "Bring me a little water in a vessel, so that I may drink." As she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, "Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand." But she said, "As the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of meal in a jar, and a little oil in a jug; I am now gathering a couple of sticks, so that I may go home and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die." Elijah said to her, "Do not be afraid; go and do as you have said; but first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterwards make something for yourself and your son. For thus says the Lord the God of Israel: The jar of meal will not be emptied and the jug of oil will not fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth." She went and did as Elijah said, so that she as well as he and her household ate for many days. The jar of meal was not emptied, neither did the jug of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.

Fearless Friday~ PRAYER ~

Photobucket

I pray You’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know
Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way

Lead us to a place
Guide us with Your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe

I pray we’ll find Your light (I pray we’ll find Your light)
And hold it in our hearts (and hold it in our hearts)
When stars go out each night (when stars go out each night)
Remind us where You are (remind us where You are)
Let this be our prayer (let this be our prayer)
When shadows fill our day (when shadows fill our day)

“ Oh Lord, lead us to a place, oh my
“ Guide us with Your grace (guide us with Your grace)
“ Give us faith so we’ll be safe

Both:
A world where pain and sorrow will be ended
And every heart that’s broken will be mended
And we’ll remember we are all God’s children
Reaching out to touch you, reaching to the sky

We ask that life be kind (we ask that life be kind)
And watch us from above (and watch us from above)
We hope each soul will find (we hope each soul will find)
Another soul to love (another soul to love)

“ Let this be our prayer (let this be our prayer)
“ Just like every child (just like every child)

Both:
Needs to find a place
Guide us with Your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe

Needs to find a place
Guide us with Your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe

Blessings my friends and wish you a peacefull and Godfilled weekend!

WEEKLY MEMORY VERSE - proverbs 11:30 -

Last week's verse:
Proverbs 11:30The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

When i read and memorize this verse other verses crossed my mind talking about

A Tree.... and yielding fruit

Psalm 1 :3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yield it's fruit in season.

And winning souls is WISDOM says this verse......

When we do that we gave in a way life to another person. " Our tree" so to say give fruit and our seeds we plant in others....Another tree start to grow....Is that not AMAZING.........
We are leading a RIGHTEOUS LIFE planted by STREAMS of WATER...........

Two other verses are saying

Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Provers 13: 14
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death

It was a nice journey in my thought and through the bible to understand this verse!

This week's memory verse:

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Please hop over to The Power of Your Love for a visit.

Than Sings My Soul Saturday!~ The Lord give and takes........~

Job 1:21 (The Message)

21 Naked I came from my mother's womb,
naked I'll return to the womb of the earth.
God gives, God takes.
God's name be ever blessed.

Images, songs and performances of Michael Jackson calls up youth memories and sentiment. My heart always cried about the tragic aspect of his Life and prayed for him and his talent ,that he will use it and be and feel blessed with it.My prayer now is that Gods mercy is upon him and that he will rest in peace!

Praying for his mum and family who knew him and cared for him!

Fearless Friday ~ Spend time with God today..~

Isaiah 19:19On that Day ( FEARLESS FRIDAY), there will be a place of worship to God in the center of Egypt and a monument to God at its border. It will show how the God-of-the-Angel-Armies has helped the Egyptians. When they cry out in prayer to God because of oppressors, he'll send them help, a savior who will keep them safe and take care of them. God will openly show himself to the Egyptians and they'll get to know him on that Day. They'll worship him seriously with sacrifices and burnt offerings. They'll make vows and keep them. God will wound Egypt, first hit and then heal. Egypt will come back to God, and God will listen to their prayers and heal them, heal them from head to toe.Isaiah 19:18-20 (in Context) Isaiah 19 (Whole Chapter)

Let we check our hearts and spend time today with "the God-of-the-Angel-Armies" and He will fill our hearts and mouths with praise ,strenght ,joy and ALL that He have in store for us!

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
