Moravian Daily Texts

Today i love to read my dayword and verses with you , and be blessed!

Friday, May 8

Psalm 61
Proverbs 2:9-3:20; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
Psalm 96:3

I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone
who has faith. Romans 1:16

God of salvation, give us courage and energy for proclaiming your good news to
all who need it. Help us to tell our stories -- the stories of your faithfulness
within our lives
, and make the ears that hear us receptive to your message.
Amen.

Psalm 61
A David Psalm

1-2God, listen to me shout, bend an ear to my prayer.
When I'm far from anywhere,
down to my last gasp,
I call out, "Guide me
up High Rock Mountain!"

3-5 You've always given me breathing room,
a place to get away from it all,
A lifetime pass to your safe-house,
an open invitation as your guest.
You've always taken me seriously, God,
made me welcome among those who know and love you.

6-8 Let the days of the king add up
to years and years of good rule.
Set his throne in the full light of God;
post Steady Love and Good Faith as lookouts,
And I'll be the poet who sings your glory—
and live what I sing every day.

Proverbs 2:9-3:20 (The Message)

9-15 So now you can pick out what's true and fair,
find all the good trails!
Lady Wisdom will be your close friend,
and Brother Knowledge your pleasant companion.
Good Sense will scout ahead for danger,
Insight will keep an eye out for you.
They'll keep you from making wrong turns,
or following the bad directions
Of those who are lost themselves
and can't tell a trail from a tumbleweed,
These losers who make a game of evil
and throw parties to celebrate perversity,
Traveling paths that go nowhere,
wandering in a maze of detours and dead ends.

16-19 Wise friends will rescue you from the Temptress—
that smooth-talking Seductress
Who's faithless to the husband she married years ago,
never gave a second thought to her promises before God.
Her whole way of life is doomed;
every step she takes brings her closer to hell.
No one who joins her company ever comes back,
ever sets foot on the path to real living.

20-22 So—join the company of good men and women,
keep your feet on the tried-and-true paths
.
It's the men who walk straight who will settle this land,
the women with integrity who will last here.
The corrupt will lose their lives;
the dishonest will be gone for good.

Proverbs 3
Don't Assume You Know It All
1-2 Good friend, don't forget all I've taught you; take to heart my commands.
They'll help you live a long, long time,
a long life lived full and well.

3-4 Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.
Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart.
Earn a reputation for living well
in God's eyes and the eyes of the people.

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.

It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.

The Very Tree of Life
13-18 You're blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom,
when you make friends with Madame Insight.
She's worth far more than money in the bank;
her friendship is better than a big salary.
Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth;
nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.
With one hand she gives long life,
with the other she confers recognition.
Her manner is beautiful,
her life wonderfully complete.
She's the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her.
Hold her tight—and be blessed!

19-20 With Lady Wisdom, God formed Earth;
with Madame Insight, he raised Heaven.
They knew when to signal rivers and springs to the surface,
and dew to descend from the night skies.

1 Corinthians 12:12-26 (The Message)

12-13You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive.

14-18I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn't just a single part blown up into something huge. It's all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, "I'm not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don't belong to this body," would that make it so? If Ear said, "I'm not beautiful like Eye, limpid and expressive; I don't deserve a place on the head," would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it.

19-24But I also want you to think about how this keeps your significance from getting blown up into self-importance. For no matter how significant you are, it is only because of what you are a part of. An enormous eye or a gigantic hand wouldn't be a body, but a monster. What we have is one body with many parts, each its proper size and in its proper place. No part is important on its own. Can you imagine Eye telling Hand, "Get lost; I don't need you"? Or, Head telling Foot, "You're fired; your job has been phased out"? As a matter of fact, in practice it works the other way—the "lower" the part, the more basic, and therefore necessary. You can live without an eye, for instance, but not without a stomach. When it's a part of your own body you are concerned with, it makes no difference whether the part is visible or clothed, higher or lower. You give it dignity and honor just as it is, without comparisons. If anything, you have more concern for the lower parts than the higher. If you had to choose, wouldn't you prefer good digestion to full-bodied hair?

25-26The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don't, the parts we see and the parts we don't. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance.

Fearless Friday ~ JOHN 17: 20-23 ~

Photobucket

JESUS said in John 17:20-23
I'm
praying not only for them
But also for those who will believe in me
Because of them and their witness about me.
The goal is for all of them
to become one heart and mind—
Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
So they might be one heart and mind with us.
Then the world might
believe that you, in fact, sent me.
The same glory you gave me, I gave them,
So they'll be as unified and together as we are—
I in them and you in
me.
Then they'll be mature in this oneness,
And give the godless world
evidence
That you've sent me and loved them
In the same way you've loved
me.

Have mercy on us, O God, have mercy on us,
for in you our soul takes refuge.( Psalm 57)

Thankfull thursday~MOTHER ~

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Today is THANKFULL THURSDAY

Lyn from Spiritually Unequal
Marriage
made this suggestion:
This Thursday let’s share with one
another our hearts about our mothers.

Or, why we are thankful to be a
mom and what God is teaching us.

Or, share about a Godly woman in your
life who is or has been a Mom to you (Titus 2).

Sharon At truth4theJourney host also TT and ask to make 5 points to be Thankfull for this past week!
Here goes my combination of those two beautifull TT meme's.....

Exodus 20:12 (New International Version)

12 "Honor your father and
your
mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is
giving you.

Matthew 10:37 (New International Version)

37"Anyone
who loves
his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who
loves his son
or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;

Those two verses i have always before me in my relationship with my parents, along those years as the daughter of my earthly parents and Heavenly Parent!

The initial answers to the question to share my heart where I wish.......

Yes i wish i could turn back the time we life in the same country and house.... on the same continent.
But God " My Heavenly parent" planned differently.......
I learned and are learning a lot from Him how to appreciate and love my mum, no matter the " ocean" between us.......

1 He said to me be
thankful that i blessed your mum's womb when i knit you
in it as her ONLY
child.
I bless her with you.Your life with me is a
blessing to her! If
she was not there you where not here.....
Psalm 139:13 (N I V)
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my
mother's
womb.

2 I'm thankfull for the good and bad examples my mum gave
me.Both are lessons for myself as a mother

Hosea 14:9 (The Message)
If you want to live well,
make sure you understand all of this.
If you
know what's good for you,
you'll learn this inside and out.
God's paths
get you where you want to go.
Right-living people walk
them easily;
wrong-living people are always tripping and stumbling.

3 I'm
thankful i inherit from her the character and got the example to care for others

4 I'm
thankfull that i still have my mum and changes to grow our
relationship

5 I'm thankfull that she was in Holland with the birth
of the eldest
and baptism of both my kids.

WEEKLY MEMORY VERSE - JOHN 3: 16 -

John 3:16 (New Living Translation)

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

This version of our weekly memory verse i choose to memorize because the translation of my fav MSG was to lenghty.........Nevertheless reading it makes the picture complete for me and gives the verse more dept.

(The Message)

16-18"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Looking up the text in Blue Letter Bible gave also more insights I copy/paste some strongs to share with you ..and highlighted what i find interesting.....

'Ye are of God, little children', and 'the whole world lieth in the wicked one.' Does 'the whole world' there mean everybody? If so, how was it, then, that there were some who were 'of God?' The words 'world' and 'all' are used in some seven or eight senses in Scripture; and it is very rarely that 'all' means all persons, taken individually. The words are generally used to signify that Christ has redeemed some of all sorts—some Jews, some Gentiles, some rich, some poor, and has not restricted his redemption to either Jew or Gentile." (The Message)
Psalm 112

Hallelujah! Blessed man, blessed woman, who fear God,
Who cherish and relish his commandments,
Their children robust on the earth,
And the homes of the upright—how blessed!
Their houses brim with wealth
And a generosity that never runs dry.
Sunrise breaks through the darkness for good people—
God's grace and mercy and justice!
The good person is generous and lends lavishly;
No shuffling or stumbling around for this one,
But a sterling and solid and lasting reputation.
Unfazed by rumor and gossip,
Heart ready, trusting in God,
Spirit firm, unperturbed,
Ever blessed, relaxed among enemies
,
They lavish gifts on the poor—
A generosity that goes on, and on, and on.
An honored life! A beautiful life!
Someone wicked takes one look and rages,
Blusters away but ends up speechless.
There's nothing to the dreams of the wicked. Nothing.

2 Chronicles 7:14

God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, "I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I'm alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place.

The psalm for today in my Moraviantext is Psalm 57 what i felt to pray over us today many of us as i read through different blogs seeking God for refuge for strenght and want to stand firm amids of all kind of life struggles.Through all we praising God because our "spiritual musles " get stronger. Some of us are suffering of muscle pain and with our prayers we stand in the gap for eachother to get rid of this pain! ( i got this visual also through some blogs i guess i came accross)

Psalm 57

1 Have mercy on us, O God, have mercy on us,
for in you our soul takes refuge.

We will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.
2 We cry out to God Most High,
to God, who fulfills {his purpose} for us.

3 He sends from heaven and saves us,
rebuking those who hotly pursue us;
Selah
God sends his love and his faithfulness.

4 We are in the midst of lions;
We lay among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.

5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.

6 They spread a net for our

feet—
We where bowed down in distress.
They dug a pit in our path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.
Selah

7 Our heart is steadfast, O God,
our heart is steadfast;
We will sing and make music
.

Thankfull thursday ~ COURAGE ~

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey
Laurie @ Women Taking A Stand chose COURAGE today! This is what she shares

I have never thought of myself as a particularly courageous person. I don't jump
out of planes. I have never gone water skiing. I would tremble to climb Mt.
Everest. I don't even like spiders, and definitely I am gravely afraid of little
rodents!

Bravery? That is for other people. Right?
Wrong!!

When I think about the trials that my life has taken me thru - I
realize that courage had alot to do with my survival. Some days, it might have
been easier to climb Mount Everest! But during those times of wanting to hide my
head in the sand and wishing I could run into my bedroom and hover under the
covers - I realized that was EXACTLY what the enemy was trying to get me to do.
The enemy wanted me to wither, to fall, to cave in, to fall off the mountain!

Some of you know exactly what I am talking about. Needing courage to
take another step. Needing Courage.

Courage in your moment of grief.
Courage in your moment of pain. Courage in your moment of sickness. Courage in
your moment of stress. Courage in your moment of despair. Courage.

PSALM 3:3 "Lord, You are my shield, my wonderful God who gives
me courage."

While reading this i could relate and see God's hands through my whole life ,struggles and cirumstances. His biggest gift i got in my life and what i wrote about in my testimony is that " I learned about God just how i learn to write and speak " For me he was and is always " a living reality"!!
I see different moments of courage in my life

  1. Coming as a young adult to Europe all by myself

  2. Handling insecurity's of not having a staying permit and stable work in the "beautyfield"

  3. Making the choice to study for and work with elderly

  4. Get married and stayed married!

  5. Start a beautybusiness with my dh's from "scratch"( no savings and businessloan) and combine it with my other job

  6. Raisig up our kids....

  7. Surviving " the recession"

This looking back stirs-up ALOT of Praise and THANKFULNESS for GOD ALMIGHTY!

  • FOR HIS LEADING HAND AND GUIDANCE

  • HIS PROTECTION FROM HARM AND WRONG CHOICES AND WHEN MADE WRONGS FORGIVENESS AND GRACE

  • HE PROVIDED EACH AND EVERYDAY IN DIFFERENT WAYS, IN NATURE,IN OPPURTUNITIES,IN PEOPLE BRINGING OUR WAY,IN GIVING US EACHOTHER AS A FAMILY.....

  • HE GAVE US COURAGE TO FACE EACH AND EVERYDAY BOLDLY AND GAVE HIM HONOUR WITH OUR LIFE

  • HE GIVES US ALWAYS HOPE, A FUTURE AND PEACE WHAT SURPASES AND TRANCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING!

Job 12:7-12 (New International Version)

7 "But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the bird of the air, and they will tell you;

8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish of the sea inform you.

9 Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?

10 In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.

11 Does not the ear test words
as the tongue tastes food?

12 Is not wisdom found among the aged?
Does not long life bring understanding?

Psalm 55:20-23
Job
34:29-35:16; 1 Corinthians 8

When they heard that the Lord had
given heed to the Israelites and that he had
seen their misery, they bowed
down and worshipped.
Exodus 4:31
And the people trusted and listened believingly that God was
concerned with what was going on with the Israelites and knew all about their
affliction. They bowed low and they worshiped.

He has helped his
servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy. Luke
1:54

He embraced his chosen child, Israel;
he remembered and
piled on the mercies, piled them high.

God of mercy, help us today. You have seen our need and heard our prayers.
Accept our thanks and praise in Jesus' name. Amen.

For today's readings The Psalm and Job make things so clear and visual in this translation version.

Be blessed!

Psalm
55:20-23 (The Message)

20-21 And this, my best friend, betrayed his
best friends;
his life betrayed his word.
All my life I've been charmed
by his speech,
never dreaming he'd turn on me.
His words, which were
music to my ears,
turned to daggers in my heart.

22-23 Pile your
troubles on God's shoulders—
he'll carry your load, he'll help you out.
He'll never let good people
topple into ruin.
But you, God, will
throw the others
into a muddy bog,
Cut the lifespan of assassins
and
traitors in half.

And I trust in you.

Job
34:29-35:16

Because You Refuse to Live on God's Terms

29-30 "If God is silent, what's that to you?
If he turns his
face away, what can you do about it?
But whether silent or hidden, he's
there, ruling,
so that those who hate God won't take over
and ruin
people's lives.

31-33 "So why don't you simply confess to God?
Say,
'I sinned, but I'll sin no more.
Teach me to see what I still don't see.
Whatever evil I've done, I'll do it no more.'
Just because you refuse to
live on God's terms,
do you think he should start living on yours?
You
choose. I can't do it for you.
Tell me what you decide.

34-37 "All
right-thinking people say—
and the wise who have listened to me concur—
'Job is an ignoramus.
He talks utter nonsense.'
Job, you need to be
pushed to the wall and called to account
for wickedly talking back to God
the way you have.
You've compounded your original sin
by rebelling
against God's discipline,
Defiantly shaking your fist at God,
piling up
indictments against the Almighty One."
Job 35
Elihu's Third Speech
When God Makes Creation a Classroom
1-3 Elihu lit into Job again: "Does
this kind of thing make any sense?
First you say, 'I'm perfectly innocent
before God.'
And then you say, 'It doesn't make a bit of difference
whether I've sinned or not.'

4-8 "Well, I'm going to show you
that you don't know what you're talking about,
neither you nor your
friends.
Look up at the sky. Take a long hard look.
See those clouds
towering above you?
If you sin, what difference could that make to God?
No matter how much you sin, will it matter to him?
Even if you're good,
what would God get out of that?
Do you think he's dependent on your
accomplishments?
The only ones who care whether you're good or bad
are
your family and friends and neighbors.
God's not dependent on your behavior.

9-15 "When times get bad, people cry out for help.
They cry for
relief from being kicked around,
But never give God a thought when things go
well,
when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts,
When God sets out
the entire creation as a science classroom,
using birds and beasts to teach
wisdom.
People are arrogantly indifferent to God—
until, of course,
they're in trouble,
and then God is indifferent to them.
There's nothing
behind such prayers except panic;
the Almighty pays them no mind.
So why
would he notice you
just because you say you're tired of waiting to be
heard,
Or waiting for him to get good and angry
and do something about
the world's problems?

16 "Job, you talk sheer nonsense—
nonstop
nonsense!"

Psalm 55:16-19
Job 34:1-28; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40

O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! Psalm 119:5
You, God, prescribed the right way to live;
now you expect us to live it.
Oh, that my steps might be steady,
keeping to the course you set;

Jesus said, "For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and
sister and mother." Matthew 12:50
"Look closely. These are my mother and brothers. Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys my heavenly Father's will is my brother and sister and mother."

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us
not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the
power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
(General Liturgy I, Moravian Book
of Worship, p. 4)

My readings i do today with you on my blog...I look them up on biblegateway in the message version and who reads my blogs frequently knows that i emphasis what speaks to me or what pops -up as important to me so........Get with me in THE WORD!!

Psalm 55:16-19

16-19 I call to God;
God will help me.

At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh
deep sighs—he hears, he rescues.
My life is well and whole, secure
in the middle of danger

Even while thousands
are lined up against me.
God hears it all, and from his judge's bench
puts them in their place.
But, set in their ways, they won't change;
they pay him no mind.

Job 34

Elihu's Second Speech

It's Impossible for God to Do Evil

1-4Elihu continued: "So, my fine friends—listen to me,
and see what you think of this.
Isn't it just common sense—
as common as the sense of taste—
To put our heads together
and figure out what's going on here?

5-9 "We've all heard Job say, 'I'm in the right,
but God won't give me a fair trial.

When I defend myself, I'm called a liar to my face.
I've done nothing wrong, and I get punished anyway.'
Have you ever heard anything to beat this?
Does nothing faze this man Job?
Do you think he's spent too much time in bad company,
hanging out with the wrong crowd,
So that now he's parroting their line:
'It doesn't pay to try to please God'?

10-15 "You're veterans in dealing with these matters;
certainly we're of one mind on this.
It's impossible for God to do anything evil;
no way can the Mighty One do wrong.
He makes us pay for exactly what we've done—no more, no less.
Our chickens always come home to roost.
It's impossible for God to do anything wicked,
for the Mighty One to subvert justice.
He's the one who runs the earth!
He cradles the whole world in his hand!
If he decided to hold his breath,
every man, woman, and child would die for lack of air.
God Is Working Behind the Scenes
16-20 "So, Job, use your head;
this is all pretty obvious.
Can someone who hates order, keep order?
Do you dare condemn the righteous, mighty God?
Doesn't God always tell it like it is,
exposing corrupt rulers as scoundrels and criminals?
Does he play favorites with the rich and famous and slight the poor?
Isn't he equally responsible to everybody?
Don't people who deserve it die without notice?
Don't wicked rulers tumble to their doom?
When the so-called great ones are wiped out,
we know God is working behind the scenes.

21-28 "He has his eyes on every man and woman.
He doesn't miss a trick.
There is no night dark enough, no shadow deep enough,
to hide those who do evil.

God doesn't need to gather any more evidence;
their sin is an open-and-shut case.

He deposes the so-called high and mighty without asking questions,
and replaces them at once with others.
Nobody gets by with anything; overnight,
judgment is signed, sealed, and delivered.
He punishes the wicked for their wickedness
out in the open where everyone can see it,
Because they quit following him,
no longer even thought about him or his ways.
Their apostasy was announced by the cry of the poor;
the cry of the afflicted got God's attention.

1 Corinthians 7:25-40 (The Message)

25-28The Master did not give explicit direction regarding virgins, but as one much experienced in the mercy of the Master and loyal to him all the way, you can trust my counsel. Because of the current pressures on us from all sides, I think it would probably be best to stay just as you are. Are you married? Stay married. Are you unmarried? Don't get married. But there's certainly no sin in getting married, whether you're a virgin or not. All I am saying is that when you marry, you take on additional stress in an already stressful time, and I want to spare you if possible.

29-31I do want to point out, friends, that time is of the essence. There is no time to waste, so don't complicate your lives unnecessarily. Keep it simple in marriage, grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things—your daily routines of shopping, and so on. Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out.

32-35 I want you to live as free of complications as possible. When you're unmarried, you're free to concentrate on simply pleasing the Master. Marriage involves you in all the nuts and bolts of domestic life and in wanting to please your spouse, leading to so many more demands on your attention. The time and energy that married people spend on caring for and nurturing each other, the unmarried can spend in becoming whole and holy instruments of God. I'm trying to be helpful and make it as easy as possible for you, not make things harder. All I want is for you to be able to develop a way of life in which you can spend plenty of time together with the Master without a lot of distractions.

36-38If a man has a woman friend to whom he is loyal but never intended to marry, having decided to serve God as a "single," and then changes his mind, deciding he should marry her, he should go ahead and marry. It's no sin; it's not even a "step down" from celibacy, as some say. On the other hand, if a man is comfortable in his decision for a single life in service to God and it's entirely his own conviction and not imposed on him by others, he ought to stick with it. Marriage is spiritually and morally right and not inferior to singleness in any way, although as I indicated earlier, because of the times we live in, I do have pastoral reasons for encouraging singleness.

39-40A wife must stay with her husband as long as he lives. If he dies, she is free to marry anyone she chooses. She will, of course, want to marry a believer and have the blessing of the Master. By now you know that I think she'll be better off staying single. The Master, in my opinion, thinks so, too.

WEEKLY MEMORY VERSE- Psalm 119: 105

"Let's move on to next week's verse.
Oh, it is very easy!! I just looked and we're going to be working on the Queen
of Diamonds from the "Embracing the Word" cards:

Your word is a lamp
to my feet and a light to my path.....Psalm 119:105 (NASB) "

With those words Beth from The Power of Your Love introduce last week memory verse to us.
I never heard of the saying "Queen of Diamonds" But i must say this verse caught my eye already some years ago and for some reason or the other it sticks easily to my mind....

By your words I can see where I'm going;they throw a beam of light on my dark path!!

The word LIGHT catches my eye always in Gods Word, because i have it in my confirmation verse psalm

is the stronghold of my life—

Dear Jesus, only in you can we find righteousness. You gave your life to pay for
our sins; keep us ever mindful of your sacrifice and ever thankful for your
grace. Amen.

Blessings my Friends

This week i READ psalm 4 already and posted it on friday ,it is an EVENINGPRAYER from David.

1John 3 1-7 You can read it is very known.....

My attention was caught by the verses in
Luke 24:36-48 (The Message)

36-41While they were saying all this, Jesus appeared to them and said, "Peace be with you." They thought they were seeing a ghost and were scared half to death. He continued with them, "Don't be upset, and don't let all these doubting questions take over. Look at my hands; look at my feet—it's really me. Touch me. Look me over from head to toe. A ghost doesn't have muscle and bone like this." As he said this, he showed them his hands and feet. They still couldn't believe what they were seeing. It was too much; it seemed too good to be true.

41-43He asked, "Do you have any food here?" They gave him a piece of leftover fish they had cooked. He took it and ate it right before their eyes.

You're the Witnesses
44Then he said, "Everything I told you while I was with you comes to this: All the things written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets, and in the Psalms have to be fulfilled."
45-49He went on to open their understanding of the Word of God, showing them how to read their Bibles this way. He said, "You can see now how it is written that the Messiah suffers, rises from the dead on the third day, and then a total life-change through the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed in his name to all nations—starting from here, from Jerusalem! You're the first to hear and see it. You're the witnesses. What comes next is very important: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you're equipped with power from on high."

I am (we are witnesses) we are called up by Jesus ....who made Him self known to us ( isn't it)

Maybe we receive HIM just like the disciples written above....

With un-believe ,scared to dead...we give HIM leftovers ( this broke my heart when i read and realize ..i'm guilthy of this...BUT JESUS still eats it and don't show we are disappointing Him.......!!)

BUT JESUS is not giving up on us...He instructs...teaches...open up THE WORD and HIMSELF to us and CALLS us up to be WITNESSES.He promisses us POWER from ABOVE!

I want to be A WITNESS and pray and hope you also!!

Wish you a Godfilled witnessful week.

Feel free to leave an message that you came over !

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
