FEARLESS FRIDAY~ OUR PRAYERS~

Photobucket

Today we set aside to pray with eachother over at "FreeSpiritHaven Your prayer request can be posted overhere in the comments or over at our host Angela...We feel so honoured to pray for and with you.

Was thinking what to blog about on this day and stumble on an blog "PRAYERGUIDE" about praying so love to post parts of it here and pray today those prayers with you

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us, we are sinners".

The Jesus Prayer

The Jesus prayer is a very short, very simple prayer. Yet it can be a key to unlocking a spiritual doorway that leads us to pray from the heart, rather than from the mind.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
The words of the Jesus prayer fall into two halves. The first half expresses the core truth of our faith in Jesus Christ, that he is the incarnate Son of the Creator God, and that we ascribe to Him Lordship of ourselves.   The second half sums up the wonder of God's love, that though we are sinners, yet He has mercy upon us and forgives us. The twelve words the prayer leads us into a balanced expression of both praise and thanksgiving to our Lord, yet also into penitence and confession, seeking his forgiveness and mercy.
Pointers for Prayer :
As you pray the prayer, simply recite it over and over again, and you will discover three levels of prayer, first described by the 19th C. Russian spiritual teacher, Theophan. The prayer begins as words, then as we recite it further, we move onto pray the prayer as our own, owning the thoughts and expression of the prayer. Finally, our hearts take over the prayer, where the prayer is no longer a series of words and concepts, but gives way to a touching of our Spirit with God's Spirit.

The Lord's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer is the model of prayer that Jesus taught us, as recorded in the gospels of Matthew and Luke   It is presented here in traditional and modern language:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

A day without prayer is a day without blessing, and a life without prayer is a life without power.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever. Amen

Sometimes it can be difficult to know how to pray about our concerns. But our Father God wants to hear about them - Paul writes to the Ephesians "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." In this section, we offer some thoughts on how to pray for various different topics :
quote5.jpg (7368 bytes) Pointers for Prayer : If you have particular needs for prayer, you might like to ask others to pray for you in these concerns. Whilst it's good to be able to ask God for these needs, it's also good to be able to share them with other Christians who can pray for you.  There are several good online opportunities to put forward such needs, and we have links to four of them.

WFW ~62:5~

 http://i.ytimg.com/vi/AaMJDkFXmKE/0.jpg
Word for the month of March
Psalm 62:5
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
   my hope comes from him.

Psalm 62 (MSG)

1-2 God, the one and only— I'll wait ( remember my "year word) as long as he says.
Everything I need comes from him,
      so why not?
He's solid rock under my feet,
      breathing room for my soul,
   An impregnable castle:
      I'm set for life

Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
Psalm 36:5

...and underneath are the everlasting arms
Deuteronomy 33:27
How high is God's faithfulness?
High as the clouds.
There's nothing to fear 'neath the sky.
No child of the Father meets trouble alone
With such a Companion by.

How deep is God's faithfulness?
Deep as the sea.
That's deeper than you'll ever go.
When life's surging sorrows
Close over your head
Compassion will cradle below.

from the album RESCUE from the group
NEW SONG
O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul! my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul! my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul! my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul! my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Valentinesday ~ HE formed my HEART~

Monday, February 14

http://dianasainz.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/salvation-mountain_00.jpg( picture credit)
Psalm 23
2 Chronicles 19:1-20:19; Acts 21:31-22:2

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Everyone who drinks of this water
will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give
them will never be thirsty." John 4:13-14

Jesus, you are the source of living water. Help us to drink of that
water today and never thirst again. Amen.

I have a Maker
He formed my heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hands

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
and He hears me when I call
I have a Father
He calls me His own
He?ll never leave me
No matter where I go

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
and He hears me when I call

Weekend reflections..........."What do you want out of Life? & Lead me Lord...."

These preachings of Joyce Meyer spoke to me and my attention was caught by the last words in
Habakkuk 2: 3 My "YEAR WORD" WAIT is in it....

If it seems slow in coming, wait.
It's on its way. It will come right on time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4GjPzXPURw

Habakkuk 2

1 What's God going to say to my questions? I'm braced for the worst. I'll climb to the lookout tower and scan the horizon.
I'll wait to see what God says,
   how he'll answer my complaint.
2-3And then God answered: "Write this.
   Write what you see.
Write it out in big block letters
so that it can be read on the run.
This vision-message is a witness
   pointing to what's coming.
It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait!
   And it doesn't lie.
If it seems slow in coming, wait.
It's on its way. It will come right on time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7zRcMpmuGY1 Samuel 3
10 Then God came and stood before him exactly as before, calling out, "Samuel! Samuel!"
Samuel answered, "Speak. I'm your servant, ready to listen."
11-14 God said to Samuel, "Listen carefully. I'm getting ready to do something in Israel that is going to shake everyone up and get their attention. The time has come for me to bring down on Eli's family everything I warned him of, every last word of it. I'm letting him know that the time's up. I'm bringing judgment on his family for good.

 Timothy 4:7
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

An beautiful song expresses what my desire is that God leads me through life that His Spirit forms my goals and visions....That all will bring Him and Him alone honour and Glory

Lead Me Lord by Gary Valenciano

Beautiful words to sing and pray...

Lead me Lord, lead me by the hand
And make me face the rising sun
Comfort me through all the pain
That life may bring
There's no other hope
That I can lean upon
Lead me Lord Lead me all my life
Walk by me, walk by me across
The lonely road that I may face
Take my arms and let your hand
Show me the way
Show the way to live inside your heart
All my days, all my life

Refrain: You are my light
You're the lamb upon my feet
All the time my Lord
I need You there
You are my light I (just) cannot live alone
Let me stay
By Your guiding love
All through my life
Lead me Lord
Lead me Lord Even though at times
I'd rather go alone my way
Help me take the right direction
Take Your road Lead me Lord
And never leave my side
All my days
All my life
You are my light
You're the lamb upon my feet
All the time my Lord
I need You there
You are my light I (just) cannot live alone
Let me stay By Your guiding love
All through my life
All through my days Lead me, O Lord Lead me Lord

Super...Sunday.....~ Bible Study PLANTED~

Today i kept it very "low-key"but had an SUPER SUNDAY

Went to church and spending time with family. And  the rest of the day was catching up with an 4 week bible study
href="http://www.madabella.typepad.com/" _mce_href="http://www.madabella.typepad.com/">

It is the 1st week and i love the weekvers we got
Rememberthis1

PLANTED takes place online from February 1st - 25th. No sign ups necessary, simply subscribe here to receive posts via email.

Week 1: SOWING SEEDS
God likens our hearts to a spiritual garden. When He plants the seed of His word in our hearts, He must first prepare soil. We’ll explore how God readies us to receive His seed and begins to cultivate us for harvest.

Week 2:  FIRMLY ROOTED
Trees that grow roots extending deep beneath the surface are ones that stand tall and firm, ready to withstand harsh winter climates and raging winds. We’ll see how we must likewise be firmly rooted in Christ to withstand trials, deception and doubt.

Week 3:  PRUNING VINES
Pruning is essential to healthy growth. Just as rotting or diseased branches are pruned to produce fruit, we too are stripped so that God may increase in our lives. The Vinedresser, however, doesn’t always prune to cut away branches that are dead. We’ll discover why God trims good branches and prepare for these times of pruning.

Week 4: REAPING THE HARVEST
Spring comes and new growth begins to emerge.  What bountiful harvest does God have for those rooted in Him? What if the harvest doesn’t yield crops? We’ll explore what to do about last year’s harvest and discover what it takes to produce a good harvest.

My prayer today is worded in this song

Weekend devotion "Pray-As-You-Go".......

 Saturday devotion from "Pray-As-You-Go"
http://www.pray-as-you-go.org/weekends/mp3/PAYG_20110130.mp3

The song through the whole devotion caught my atention.
Here it is on youtube and these are the lyrics.

Much Afraid by Karen Money

Once I was alone
Hiding on my own
I was much afraid

And I was very sad
Bordering on mad
I locked myself away

And one day I heard a voice call my name:

'Come away with me
My beautiful one
How I long for you to see
How lovely you will be
Come away Much Afraid'

With Sorrow by my side
Suffering as a guide
I was much afraid

But I'll go anywhere
As long as He is there
A promise that He made

And one day I heard a voice call my name:

'Come away with me
My beautiful one
How I long for you to see
How lovely you will be
Come away Much Afraid'

Super/Simple Sunday ~ SUNRISE

Over at  "Amazing Grace`Mazzes Messes Miracles"

Habakkuk 3

Habakkuk’s Prayer
1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet. On shigionoth.
2 LORD, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD.
Repeat them in our day,
   in our time make them known;
   in wrath remember mercy.
 3 God came from Teman,
the Holy One from Mount Paran.[b]
His glory covered the heavens
and his praise filled the earth.
4 His splendor was like the sunrise;
   rays flashed from his hand,
   where his power was hidden........
...............
Interesting POWERFUL PRAYER to read and the last  3 verses "sticked to my head"!
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
 19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.

This is an BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE just in my neighbourhood

Have an great and blessed SONday!

Fearless friday

They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8 NLT

To know more of this special "meme" on friday's click on the picture....Free Spirit Haven is the home where you can post in comments prayer request or link-up your own "FF" post...
It's a while i joined i must confess..Nowadays i spend lesser time blogging and when i do i am more on "My Journey Diamonds"That is for now the combination of spending time on the internet and putting my mind and toughts on God's word.
But we need to pray together and stand in the gap with and for eachother.......

The words ( esp in the 2nd song "My yearword" WAIT!!) in two songs draw me closer to the Lord and in prayer and strenghtend and encouraged me this week and wanted to share it with you all.......
Day by Day

Lina Sandell Berg

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Ev'ry day the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He whose Name is Counselor and Pow'r;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As your days, your strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.

Help me then in ev'ry tribulation
So to trust Your promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Your holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/lc5cM6PTIG0/0.jpg
Hungry I come to You
For I know you satisfy
I am empty
But I know Your love
Does not run dry
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

I'm failing on my knees
Offering all of me
Jesus You're all
This heart is living for

Broken I run to You
For Your arms are open wide
I am weary
But I know Your touch
Restores my life
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

...

Thankful Thursday!!

Weekly i linked-up before for this "meme" but i missed some weeks and it could have been a month(s) also....
So here i am today and asking the question...."Do you have nothing to post or being THANKFULL for"????
That is NOT TRUE AT ALL.....!!It is only to TAKE THE TIME CONSCIOUSELY....to STOP...and put my mind where it belongs and take TIME to GIVE THANKS and PRAISE to whome it needs to go to and belongs to and from who ALL comes!!.......GOD....The beginning and the end of my Life......and all "in-between"!
He is there....He gives LIFE....PEACE....JOY......STRENGHT.....GRACE...MERCY......

I wake-up and i can start thanking Him that i got another day.....
I am healthy......I am surrounded by my "loved-ones",
I have an job...i have every month an pay-check......
I know where to go to in "times of trouble", in times of happyness...in times of sorrow because HE MADE Himself known and is there just "an prayer away"
Isn't this awesome to know this and to have this...and to take time to Praise OUR LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!!

Thankful Thursday is hosted  at Spiritually Unequal Marriage in January. Next Thursday we will all meet up for Thankful Thursday at Laurie's of Women Taking A Stand and then over to Grace Alone for March.

I came to this psalm because of my daily text readings.....

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
Psalm 5:3 (NIV)

The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed.”

Today's Prayer

I speak my word, but it is what you say, Lord, that creates faith and hope in me. It is only by your Word that are we healed. Thank you, my good Shepherd, for listening to this sinner and letting me know that it is never about me — it’s because of you that I have life.  Amen.

HAPPY.........HAPPINESS!!
Well i was thinking it over this morning...all kind of well wishes went "over the table" on New Years-Eve...even the coming days probably in this 1st week of the new year.....
Is Happiness an feeling???....An state of mind....??....
When am i happy.......How i work on my happiness?? Or thus it come and go itself??
What makes me HAPPY??.....What is an HAPPY DAY an HAPPY YEAR!!??
I don't know about you but if i focus on my feelings or surroundings ( people ...situations...life...) I am tossed around in my emotions.............
Happiness ...JOYFULLNESS always comes in when i start PRAISING.........Set my mind on PRAISE not praising people but PRAISING GOD!!
When we praise our kids ...it brings an smile on there face......
I believe when i am praising the Lord .......HE smiles at me and i smile back!! We can find ALWAYS an reason to praise.....When you wake-up...you have to praise God.......When you can wake-up in an bed and an warm house....Go to your kitchen and have an choice of food in your cupboards and fridge........That is an praise worth to the God who brings food on our tables.....And that is only the beginning of one day...!!!
HAPPINESS is contagious.......for our surroundings.........It encourages....it makes us strong etc.........!
I was wondering for verses in the bible translations with HAPPINESS...
Here they are.....
In the MESSAGE version
Genesis 30:9
When Leah saw that she wasn't having any more children, she gave her maid Zilpah to Jacob for a wife. Zilpah had a son for Jacob. Leah said, "How fortunate!" and she named him Gad (Lucky). When Leah's maid Zilpah had a second son for Jacob, Leah said, "A happy day! The women will congratulate me in my
happiness." So she named him Asher (Happy).
Job 21:22
[ Fancy Funerals with All the Trimmings ] "But who are we to tell God how to run his affairs? He's dealing with matters that are way over our heads. Some people die in the prime of life, with everything going for them— fat and sassy. Others die bitter and bereft, never getting a taste of
happiness. They're laid out side by side in the cemetery, where the worms can't tell one from the other.
Ecclesiastes 2:1
I said to myself, "Let's go for it—experiment with pleasure, have a good time!" But there was nothing to it, nothing but smoke. What do I think of the fun-filled life? Insane! Inane! My verdict on the pursuit of
happiness? Who needs it? With the help of a bottle of wine and all the wisdom I could muster, I tried my level best to penetrate the absurdity of life. I wanted to get a handle on anything useful we mortals might do during the years we spend on this earth.
Galatians 5:19
It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for
happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn't the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God's kingdom.
Psalm 67:1
God, mark us with grace and blessing! Smile! The whole country will see how you work, all the godless nations see how you save. God! Let people thank and enjoy you. Let all people thank and enjoy you. Let all far-flung people become happy and shout their
happiness because You judge them fair and square, you tend the far-flung peoples. God! Let people thank and enjoy you. Let all people thank and enjoy you. Earth, display your exuberance! You mark us with blessing, O God, our God. You mark us with blessing, O God. Earth's four corners—honor him!
The N.I.V. version
Ecclesiastes 2:26
To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and
happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
Matthew 25:21
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s
happiness!’

you.
I will be with
you in trouble.

and honor you."

Psalm 91:15

Psalm 1

1 Chronicles 3; Acts 9:1-9

Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is than a fatted ox and

hatred with it. Proverbs 15:17

But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him

who is the head, into Christ. Ephesians 4:15

As we enter a new year, we seek the renewing power of your love to

transform our lives. May your love move through us, motivating us to
become a rich blessing in the world. Amen

Emmanuel

by Steve Angrisano

Come, come, Emmanuel!
Son of God, appear.
Heaven and earth, rejoice!
Salvation is drawing near.
Salvation is drawing near.

1. O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.

2. O come, O Wisdom from on high,
Who ordered all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.

3. O come, O Rod of Jesse’s stem;
From ev’ry foe deliver them
That trust your mighty pow’r to save,
And give them vict’ry o’er the grave.

4. O come, Desire of nations, bind
In one the hearts of humankind;
Make all our sad divisions cease,
And be for us the King of Peace.

Final Refrain
Come, come, Emmanuel!
Son of God, appear.
Heaven and earth, rejoice!
Salvation is drawing near.
Salvation is drawing near. (twice)

Rejoice! Emmanuel

shall come to thee, O Israel. (twice)

The second Candle of .." THE WAY".....

The Second Candle (The Candle of the Way)
The second candle shows that Christ is the Way. Humans are lost in sin and Christ is the Light sent into the world to show them the way out of darkness.

I found this beautiful poem and musicvideo last year, let it be our prayer in preperation for Christmas! His birth in our hearts.
———-

Reni (Italian, 1575-1642), Virgin of the Annunciation, Oil on Canvas, Landesmuseum, OldenburgI am not worthy, Master and Lord,
that you should come
beneath the roof of my soul;
Yet, since you in your love for all people
wish to dwell within me,
in boldness I come before you.

You command “Open the gates!”
Gates you alone have forged;
And you will come in
with love toward all, as is your nature.
You will come in and enlighten my dark reasoning.

I believe you will do this,
for you did not send away
the harlot who came to you with tears,
nor cast out the repenting publican,
nor reject the thief
who acknowledged your kingdom.
You did not forsake the repentant persecutor,
the apostle Paul, even as he was.

But all who came to you in repentance,
you counted in the band of your friends;
You, who alone lives in glory forever,
now and unto the endless ages.

— St. John Chrysostom (347-407)

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
