FATHERSDAY MESS(AGE) 2010 !!

Proverbs 17:6 (New Living Translation)

 6 Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged;
      parents are the pride of their children.

My Dad with my kids

My thoughts where drawn to my dad when i was reading blogposts for fathersday.
I must confess that i TOTALLY forgot that fathersday is tomorrow.
I am still wondering if the date to celebrate this day is the same all over the world.....LOL
My kids did not hear anything about it on school either......
Well i guess i extend to celebrate fathersday in our house to probably next week to be honest....but i know my husband would say "Don't bother..."

So to come back to THE REASON of this post is to put my thoughts on paper about my dad and so honour him because God says in THE BIBLE
Exodus 20:12 (The Message)
12 Honor your father and mother so that you'll live a long time in the land that God, your God, is giving you.

This picture says ALOT about my dad and expresses his heart.This i realized when i start an surge what picture i have from my dad on my computer and saw it
It is an picture made on our last visit to my birthcountry ( longer than 6 years ago ).

My dad has an heart for children........My foundest thoughts of my dad was as an child......
My dad loves to teach about nature......to appreciate it and see the beauty in it......

He always said to me as his only child "You are the apple of my eye"!
I did not understand the depth of what he said until .....i left my parents as an young adult to come and life in Holland.
"His apple of his eye" was now far away and it caused a lot of pain in all those years....
I did not understand but now as a parent i can look at it differently
.
I appreciate and love my dad for  who he is "MY DAD"
Given by God to me !
When i thought as an child, as an teen as an adult my dad is JEALOUS.....

When i prayed/ pray about it i hear "Why it makes you angry.."??!!.........His acts are his way of showing love.... I LOVE YOU  THAT MUST BE MORE THAN ENOUGH  and so thus your dad !!. I am also an jealous God......."

Exodus 34:14 (New International Version)
14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

I learn an great lesson in my relationship with my dad ( both my parents) What an important role an parent has......
TO PICTURE to our kids THE CARACTER of GOD!! No matter our imperfections as parents....God brings out ALWAYS an message out of an "mess"!!

THAT is what i realized on this fathersday of 2010

God said to me began to write...... Your mind or heart can feel or even see an "MESS" when thinking of your relationship with your dad but there is an MESSAGE in it when you talk it over with ME( your heavenly dad) while you writing........

I love you dad for who you where, are and will be !!

 Lord, I Thank you for my dad
Please take care of him
He is getting older,
but he is still brave and bold
Please take care of him

Thank you, friend Jesus,
for my father who loves me,
and for God, my eternal father,

who made me and is always with me.
And THANK YOU LORD for loving
immensely both my dad and myself !
How Blessed I am!
Amen

Lyrics:
Oh, how He loves us so.
Oh, how He loves us.
How He loves us so.

He is jealous for me.
He loves like a hurricane.
I am a tree, bending beneathg the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions - eclipsed by glory.
And I realize just how beautiful You are and how great Your affections are for me.

And, oh, how He loves us so.
Oh, how He loves us.
How He loves us so.

He loves us so.
He loves us so.
He loves us.
Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves.

We are His portion.
He is our prize.
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes.
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.

And then heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss.
My heart turns violently inside of my chest.
And I don't have time to mantain these regrets when I think about the way He loves us.

Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us.
Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves us.
Oh, how He loves.

And, oh, how He loves us so.
Oh, how He loves us.
How He loves us so.

WOW ~ Praying OUR FATHER in different languages ~

Photobucket

One Heart our host every weekend asks us today to " Please take an unrushed, uninterrupted moment, and let us lift our hearts to our Father."

Come and join us in doing this !

When i hear "The Lord's Prayer song" in the language of my birthcountry " Surinamees" it touched me deeply.......
This morning when looking it up it strucked me to see how an "Dutch children choir" sang this song as beautifull.......as Surinamees speaking choirs would bring it......

Like i heard an "wispering in my ear": " It doesn't matter in what language or who is singing and worshipping me.......I look at the hearts ....of who is uttering the words and i bless the persons.... and who is listening to it can experience my anointing....."

Be blessed to hear nd sing " The Lord's prayer " In Surinamees and in Dutch.......

I ( WE ) Will Not Be Moved

Natalie Grant

I ( WE ) have been the wayward child

( WE ) have acted out

I ( WE ) have questioned Sovereignty

And had my ( OUR )  share of doubt

And though sometimes my ( OUR )  prayers feel like

They're bouncing off the sky

The hand I ( WE )  hold won't let me ( US ) go

And is the reason why ...

I ( WE ) will stumble

I ( WE )  will fall down

But I ( WE )  will not be moved

I  ( WE ) will make mistakes

I ( WE )  will face heartache

But I ( WE ) will not be moved

On Christ the Solid Rock I  ( WE ) stand

All other ground is sinking sand

I ( WE ) will not be moved

WFW ....HIS SPLENDOR WAS LIKE THE SUNRISE..........

 Habakkuk 3

3b His glory covered the heavens
       and his praise filled the earth.
 4 His splendor was like the sunrise;
       rays flashed from his hand,
       where his power was hidden.

5 Plague went before him;
       pestilence followed his steps.
 6 He stood, and shook the earth;
       he looked, and made the nations tremble.
       The ancient mountains crumbled
       and the age-old hills collapsed.
       His ways are eternal.

Life's Journey.....~ My soul find rest in God Alone~

I don't know for who this is but i know that i know that i must bring an psalm under the attention of my readers.....and write my thoughts around it......

I'm pulled away from looking an soccerplay of the world cup to take my bible and read

Psalm 62

For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
 1 My soul finds rest in God alone;
       my salvation comes from him.
 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
       he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

 3 How long will you assault a man?
       Would all of you throw him down—
       this leaning wall, this tottering fence?

 4 They fully intend to topple him
       from his lofty place;
       they take delight in lies.
       With their mouths they bless,
       but in their hearts they curse
.
       Selah

 5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
       my hope comes from him.

 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
       he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God [a] ;
       he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

 8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
       pour out your hearts to him,
       for God is our refuge.
       Selah

 9 Lowborn men are but a breath,
       the highborn are but a lie;
       if weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
       together they are only a breath.

 10 Do not trust in extortion
       or take pride in stolen goods;
       though your riches increase,
       do not set your heart on them.

 11 One thing God has spoken,
       two things have I heard:
       that you, O God, are strong,

 12 and that you, O Lord, are loving.
       Surely you will reward each person
       according to what he has done.

After reading and struck by some truth's that i witness in daily life ( high lighted it) and experience in my walk with The Lord
I said God YES my soul can only find rest in YOU and YOU ALONE!
I saw pictures in my spiritual eye of SOLID STRONG ROCKS........and fortresses to keep safe from harm/attacks......
I remembered an holiday as an teen through the Amazone forest........And an climb i never climb before of an rock " The Voltz berg"....an JOURNEY with ALLOT of CHALLENGES and i remember me sweating and fighting to NOT listen or give in to the muscle pain and exhaustion.......

I remember being AFRAID to SLIP........and looking back how far i came already .....but i wanted to reach the TOP....
WHY ?? Because i knew it would boost me up to reached it no matter the challenges.......and an PROMISE was awaiting me..
 THE POWERFUL VIEW............The RESTING..........THE EXPERIENCE to reached the HIGHEST POINT ( the feeling of being ON TOP of the world!!)

On the Voltzberg, trying out bare feet?

On the Voltzberg ( Pictures from an blog about this trip i did)

To sit there on the top of the mountain..........
Intaking the breath taking view......
My body was resting and recovering from the JOURNEY.....
 A Journey with ALLOT of challenging moments....I came accros beautiful species views and sights but also dangerous species or others i wonder who they are and or if they are dangerous....
Is this not how we JOURNEY trough life........?

He wants to be our ROCK AND SALVATION.....
The SOLID ROCK on which we stand!!
Like i see myself discovering THIS ROCK....climbing to THE TOP of it........
And when THERE....or when stopping and admiring already some glimsess of the AMAZING view.......
MY SOUL.........OUR SOUL.....YOUR SOUL ......IS RESTING!!!

IN GOD..............
Seeing nature ...seeing HIS hand work.......
EXPERIENCING..........nature even ourselfse because WE ARE HIS HANDWORK.......amazes us and HE IS saying LET YOUR SOUL FIND REST IN ME ALONE!!

Psalm 61

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
 1 Hear my cry, O God;
       listen to my prayer.  2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
       I call as my heart grows faint;
       lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
 3 For you have been my refuge,
       a strong tower against the foe.
 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
       and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
       Selah
 5 For you have heard my vows, O God;
       you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
 6 Increase the days of the king's life,
       his years for many generations.
 7 May he be enthroned in God's presence forever;
       appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
 8 Then will I ever sing praise to your name

WOW ~ HANNAH'S PRAYER........ MY HORN IS LIFTED HIGH~

 Photobucket

This is the second "Weekends of Worship " (WOW) a Spirit-led meme dedicated to worshiping our King hosted by One Heart.

1 Samuel 2

Hannah's Prayer
 1 Then Hannah prayed and said:
       "My heart rejoices in the LORD;
       in the LORD my horn [a] is lifted high.
       My mouth boasts over my enemies,
       for I delight in your deliverance.  2 "There is no one holy [b] like the LORD;
       there is no one besides you;
       there is no Rock like our God.
 3 "Do not keep talking so proudly
       or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
       for the LORD is a God who knows,
       and by him deeds are weighed.
 4 "The bows of the warriors are broken,
       but those who stumbled are armed with strength.
 5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
       but those who were hungry hunger no more.
       She who was barren has borne seven children,
       but she who has had many sons pines away.
 6 "The LORD brings death and makes alive;
       he brings down to the grave [c] and raises up.
 7 The LORD sends poverty and wealth;
       he humbles and he exalts.
 8 He raises the poor from the dust
       and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
       he seats them with princes
       and has them inherit a throne of honor.
       "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's;
       upon them he has set the world.
 9 He will guard the feet of his saints,
       but the wicked will be silenced in darkness.
       "It is not by strength that one prevails;
 10 those who oppose the LORD will be shattered.
       He will thunder against them from heaven;
       the LORD will judge the ends of the earth.
       "He will give strength to his king
       and exalt the horn of his anointed."

I openend my bible this morning and my eye fell on this prayer of Hannah
reading about woman in the bible always inspires me.God worked powerful through woman.....

Hannah a woman of great faith. She brings praise and thanksgiving to God
God answered her prayer and blessed her with an son....She gave him back to God......
She rejoices in The Lord.... The supreme source of Hannah's joy is not the child, but in the God who had answered her prayer," my horn is lifted high."! To have one's horn lifted up by God is to be delivered from disgrace to an position of honor and strength.

I was looking for an song about this prayer and i found one but still i felt to look more around and found ' an modern Hannah" A new generation of woman with the faith of Hannah....with the openness to be led by God's Spirit.....God loves the heart of an child...When we keep our heart like an child.....
When i listened and look at "Hannah's prayer..." It stirred me up and i could not keep sitting and be silence...I had to agree and say Amen and lift my hands up in worship to the Lord!
Let's pray together with this little girl .......

Thank You once more One Heart. for this opportunity to bring out this meme to gather us to experience the POWER when we worship the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT.In the weekends I always joined the meme's " TSMSS" and "SPIRITUAL SUNDAYS"Both to praise honour and worship the Lord with word and/or with songsI will link-up my "WOW" post also at those meme's to join us all together......!
Have an blessed and God filled weekend everyone!

*CHOICE in different things ....what to eat...,where to sleep.......

My prayers go up for

* For the strong NIGERIAN WOMAN........That they will experience The Living God in there daily life....who will strenghten..sustain and bless them and who is able to turn bad in good and there mourning in rejoicing....Who can heal there wounds and give them HOPE for there tomorrows.....
* For the CHILDREN that God will protect and guide them Keep them safe when they are on there own on the streets of Lagos or at home with there siblings when the parents struggle to earn some money.

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
