A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1
Today's New Testament Verse
In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. Ephesians 4:26
Today's Prayer
Lord, too often we put our own attitudes and motivations above the
feelings of our fellow people. Let us know that we are all yours, and
the path of peace is what you desire for us.
Forgiving God, I’m grateful for the many ways that you gently speak words of forgiveness and light into my life. I’m sorry that I can be quick to respond to others with harsh words and an angry spirit. Today, help me to think before I speak so that I don’t provoke anger. Let my words encourage peace instead. Amen.
About Jesus..... The road He had to go for our sins( my sin) Wow what an suffering....what an picture of LOVE and OBEDIENCE our Lord and Savior showed to go through this heavy road and trial.... He knew His Father will give HIM Victory..... Yesterday i posted the musical "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR" When you hear the name it can come over at first maybe disrespected........ I remember my "granny's" where a little hesitating about the musical and the sound and the effect on me and the picture it will give to me about Jesus.......
But it helped me to admire and respect Jesus... Stirred in me the desire to follow and learn about His teachings....To understand how He could stay obedient and How he could Love so much.......How He could be so bold....... Indeed He became and stayed "My SUPERSTAR"....for an long time.... My heart was stirred and captured........
I surge for more scenes from the "1973 film" that stayed for ever on my mind eyes...., but did not find them .yet on you tube. The teaing of the "curtain in the temple"........Yes Jesus dead openend the way to our Father...We can enter freely " The Holy of Holies" through the blood of Jesus.... Jesus His Passion and LOVE to do His Father will and to make others to know the Father is what stayed on my mind..... This video when He was on the Cross with the thieves beside Him and the thoughts of the thieve seeing Jesus hanging there........ Let us look at Jesus and thank Him and follow Him.
For today also when thinking of being Fearless Friday “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8
I was picturing Jesus His struggle in Getsemane and staying obedient to God. Read this morning an blog By Love and Obedience You Can Go Through the Trial This incouraged me on this good Friday and hope it will do the same to you! Don't know if an post will go up on Free Spirit Haven with prayer request for today but over at Angela's you can post your prayer requests always on friday's.
1-2 When Jesus finished saying these things, he told his disciples, "You know that Passover comes in two days. That's when the Son of Man will be betrayed and handed over for crucifixion." 3-5At that very moment, the party of high priests and religious leaders was meeting in the chambers of the Chief Priest named Caiaphas, conspiring to seize Jesus by stealth and kill him. They agreed that it should not be done during Passover Week. "We don't want a riot on our hands," they said. 6-9When Jesus was at Bethany, a guest of Simon the Leper, a woman came up to him as he was eating dinner and anointed him with a bottle of very expensive perfume. When the disciples saw what was happening, they were furious. "That's criminal! This could have been sold for a lot and the money handed out to the poor." 10-13When Jesus realized what was going on, he intervened. "Why are you giving this woman a hard time? She has just done something wonderfully significant for me. You will have the poor with you every day for the rest of your lives, but not me. When she poured this perfume on my body, what she really did was anoint me for burial. You can be sure that wherever in the whole world the Message is preached, what she has just done is going to be remembered and admired." 14-16That is when one of the Twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the cabal of high priests and said, "What will you give me if I hand him over to you?" They settled on thirty silver pieces. He began looking for just the right moment to hand him over.
The Traitor
17On the first of the Days of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Where do you want us to prepare your Passover meal?" 18-19He said, "Enter the city. Go up to a certain man and say, 'The Teacher says, My time is near. I and my disciples plan to celebrate the Passover meal at your house.'" The disciples followed Jesus' instructions to the letter, and prepared the Passover meal. 20-21After sunset, he and the Twelve were sitting around the table. During the meal, he said, "I have something hard but important to say to you: One of you is going to hand me over to the conspirators." 22They were stunned, and then began to ask, one after another, "It isn't me, is it, Master?" 23-24Jesus answered, "The one who hands me over is someone I eat with daily, one who passes me food at the table. In one sense the Son of Man is entering into a way of treachery well-marked by the Scriptures—no surprises here. In another sense that man who turns him in, turns traitor to the Son of Man—better never to have been born than do this!" 25Then Judas, already turned traitor, said, "It isn't me, is it, Rabbi?" Jesus said, "Don't play games with me, Judas."
The Bread and the Cup 26-29During the meal, Jesus took and blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples:
Take, eat. This is my body. Taking the cup and thanking God, he gave it to them:
Drink this, all of you. This is my blood, God's new covenant poured out for many people for the forgiveness of sins. "I'll not be drinking wine from this cup again until that new day when I'll drink with you in the kingdom of my Father." 30They sang a hymn and went directly to Mount Olives.
Gethsemane
31-32Then Jesus told them, "Before the night's over, you're going to fall to pieces because of what happens to me. There is a Scripture that says,
I'll strike the shepherd; helter-skelter the sheep will be scattered. But after I am raised up, I, your Shepherd, will go ahead of you, leading the way to Galilee." 33Peter broke in, "Even if everyone else falls to pieces on account of you, I won't." 34"Don't be so sure," Jesus said. "This very night, before the rooster crows up the dawn, you will deny me three times." 35Peter protested, "Even if I had to die with you, I would never deny you." All the others said the same thing. 36-38Then Jesus went with them to a garden called Gethsemane and told his disciples, "Stay here while I go over there and pray." Taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he plunged into an agonizing sorrow. Then he said, "This sorrow is crushing my life out. Stay here and keep vigil with me." 39Going a little ahead, he fell on his face, praying, "My Father, if there is any way, get me out of this. But please, not what I want. You, what do you want?" 40-41When he came back to his disciples, he found them sound asleep. He said to Peter, "Can't you stick it out with me a single hour? Stay alert; be in prayer so you don't wander into temptation without even knowing you're in danger. There is a part of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there's another part that's as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire." 42He then left them a second time. Again he prayed, "My Father, if there is no other way than this, drinking this cup to the dregs, I'm ready. Do it your way." 43-44When he came back, he again found them sound asleep. They simply couldn't keep their eyes open. This time he let them sleep on, and went back a third time to pray, going over the same ground one last time. 45-46When he came back the next time, he said, "Are you going to sleep on and make a night of it? My time is up, the Son of Man is about to be handed over to the hands of sinners. Get up! Let's get going! My betrayer is here."
With Swords and Clubs
47-49The words were barely out of his mouth when Judas (the one from the Twelve) showed up, and with him a gang from the high priests and religious leaders brandishing swords and clubs. The betrayer had worked out a sign with them: "The one I kiss, that's the one—seize him." He went straight to Jesus, greeted him, "How are you, Rabbi?" and kissed him. 50-51Jesus said, "Friend, why this charade?" Then they came on him—grabbed him and roughed him up. One of those with Jesus pulled his sword and, taking a swing at the Chief Priest's servant, cut off his ear. 52-54Jesus said, "Put your sword back where it belongs. All who use swords are destroyed by swords. Don't you realize that I am able right now to call to my Father, and twelve companies—more, if I want them—of fighting angels would be here, battle-ready? But if I did that, how would the Scriptures come true that say this is the way it has to be?" 55-56Then Jesus addressed the mob: "What is this—coming out after me with swords and clubs as if I were a dangerous criminal? Day after day I have been sitting in the Temple teaching, and you never so much as lifted a hand against me. You've done it this way to confirm and fulfill the prophetic writings." Then all the disciples cut and ran.
THANK YOU Lord Jesus for all what YOU did and went through to save me.... To give me an NEW Life now and EVERLASTING.
For the "bridge" you was and am willing to form between ME ( humankind ) and our Father God!
Jesus Christ came to pay for our sins
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:5-6
That You make Yourself known to me by touching MY HEART early with YOUR words of wisdom in the bible......and making yourself more known in the musical "Jesus Christ Super Star" when i was in my early teens.
I Thank You for every new day and every new change and oppurtunity to grow closer in your love and mercy!
ThankYou JESUS!
What are you grateful for today? Join your grateful heart with ours over at LYNN'S place today. She is hosting TT for the month of April!
God says, see Jesus, still incarnate as a human but no longer on earth, still the crucified One with nail-scarred hands and feet but no longer on the cross, still resurrected but no longer visible among you, and still ascended but no longer ascending through the devil-filled heavens.
See Jesus where He is right now.
Where He is when you awake in a cold sweat at two in the morning.
Where He is when you're alone in a hotel room and tempted to watch what should never cross your eyes.
Where He is when you've been devastated by loss or rejection.
Where He is when your failure has brought you into the depths of despair.
My Son energizes you to reveal My goodness by the way you relate during difficult times.
He nourishes you, generating strength for you to believe, wait, and love.
Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23 (NIV)
There is a chapel at the Third Station of the cross, via dolorosa marking Jesus falling. A chapel was built to mark the spot in the second half of the 19th century. This painting of taking your cross and following Jesus is inside the chapel. The photo of this painting was taken December 2007.
I took this picture and information out of BRAD BEAMAN blog
Googling this picture made me scroll through more pictures on blogs and verses and while reading i realized those are the verses i read every year in this HOLY WEEK. In remembrance of what our Lord Jesus Christ went through.........
Jesus Foretells His Death and Resurrection
"Let me not boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." Galatians 6:14
Matthew 16
21From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and undergo great suffering at the hands of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.
22And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This must never happen to you.”
23But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; for you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things.”
The Cross and Self-Denial
"Take up your cross, and follow Me."
24Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. 26For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? 27“For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done. 28Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
And the height for me on this "Journey" i took you along was this song who was also posted on this blog "DWELLING IN THE WORD" a long with above picture's and verses. Is the song “I have decided to follow Jesus” It made me remember so vividly my confirmation day last sunday ( "Palmsunday") aproximately 20 years ago i guess ( must look it up again......) Our group sang this song just like these kids.........
Do YOU remember the day you made this desicion??
If you haven't yet don't delay.......JESUS came for you and me and "knocks" at the door of your heart and waiting for you to made that decision!
Blessings

The love of which filled Christ's Sacred Heart during His three hours' agony on the Cross, and ask Him to be with you at the hour of death.
Every year when i hear this song . I will share with you today, tears are welling up in my eyes and i can only pray and ask Him to be with me each and everyday and untill the end
WENN ICH EINMAL SOLL SCHEIDEN
( When i must once and for all depart)
When I must once and for all depart,
then do not depart from me;
when I must suffer death,
then stand by me;
when my heart will be
most fearful,
then snatch me from the terrors
by the virtue of your own fear and pain!
Appear to me as my shield,
as comfort in my death,
and grant that I may see your image
in your agony on the cross!
Then I shall look towards you,
then full of faith I shall
press you closely to my heart.
To die in this way is to die well.
God says, only in unplanned, unarranged, unwelcomed, unmanageable, and thoroughly unenjoyable dark nights will My plan for your maturity unfold.
Listen to what an offbeat follower of Mine, Tim Farrington, wrote in A Hell of Mercy:
"You will be graced with the disaster your soul requires to find its way home."
John of the Cross put it this way:
"No matter how much an individual does through his own efforts, he cannot actively purify himself enough to be disposed in the least degree for the divine union of the perfection of love."
Your frustration with everything, including yourself, makes it possible to turn in deeper dependence to Me. Your weariness requires the strength of supernatural love to continue serving Me. Your haunting sense of futility shuts you up to a kind of endurance that can be sustained only with hope in My Son's return.
God says, place no hope in the experience of satisfaction now. If you do, you are shifting away from the hope held out in the gospel of My Son. You will then disfigure the Christian life and blur and discount what My Son accomplished in His death and resurrection.
Right now, My Son is in you as your hope of glory, not as your opportunity to experience glory now.
That hope, when grasped, will fill you with gratitude for forgiveness. Only then will you realize that what My Son offers you now, what He is doing in you now, is far greater than the satisfying, trouble-free, always fulfilling life that you think would be best, the life that too many counselors, pastors, spiritual warfare warriors, spiritual directors, and Christian friends tell you is available now.
Consider the relationship with Me that you now possess: once alienated, now beloved; once enemies, now friends; once separated, now reconciled; once under wrath, now forgiven; once dead in selfishness, now alive in selflessness. Fully seen and fully wanted by an inflexibly holy God who in Christ has given you the gift of absolute, secure righteousness.

SPRING PRAYER
For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
For blue of stream and blue of sky;
For pleasant shade of branches high;
For fragrant air and cooling breeze;
For beauty of the blooming trees,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!

I could not decide what to blog about so i take you on "My Journey" on "The Journey of my thought flow today...." I know we will both be blessed because along this blogging i see this is how God works through me and this blog "My Journey"
Todays "WFW" was an surge of me for an picture when i encountered this verse in an daily devotion book
"But the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established."
(Proverbs 4:18)
An inner voice...; to me that is "God's Spirit who lives in me" because He ( Jesus) said so when you follow me and seek me .............I will sent you my spirit to comfort, guide made myself known to you in Gods Word ......
( can't tell this moment which part of the bible it is written...)
Said "This is it ...look your life must get lighter and lighter and YOU will shine more and more.."
But the road of wrongdoing gets darker and darker— travelers can't see a thing; they fall flat on their faces.
" Is it not like this when You look around you...when you look at your own life......? The times you fell flat on your face...Where you on the path of righteouseness"?
That was my morning devotion time with the Lord between the morning activities......
Some hours later after some errands and enjoying the Spring weather outside... My attention was caught by an blog on "AmazingGraceMazesMessesMiracles" sister Peggy was writing and explaining about the prayer i posted yesterday..."I Arise"...... Her blog from yesterday inspired me also to surge for this prayer on Youtube..... and i posted an part with music and the whole prayer she posted today.... "St Patrick" is not an holiday or feastday overhere so far i know..... But the words and song i heard or read before
But always when i read i can sense God's Spirit tells me "pay attention to this...or that"! Evenzo this time I read
The LORICAor BREASTPLATE of ST. PATRICK shares all the parts of a Catholic morning prayer, which we all could learn from also, as we put on the armor of God every day according to Ephesians 6:)
"Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness."Ephesians 6:14
The lorica as a prayer, has the elements of the act of Faith (expressing the Catholic teaching on the Trinity and on Christ); Hope (in God's protection throughout the day and throughout life, as well as in eternal salvation); and Charity (Love)(in the love expressed for God). This is a prayer of anticipation of the victory over paganism.
My thought flow......
"God you are telling me AGAIN i MUST put on EVERY DAY...Eph 6...
GIRDED MY LOINS WIT THRUTH,and having put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSENESS!!
This morning Lord YOU brought this last word also to my attention......RIGHTEOUSENESS !!
Lord an hour ago when walking in Your beautiful spring weather, I had an talk with my husband about what we see is happening right this moment in people we love dearly.....That they choose for the way of wrong doing and there life is getting darker and darker......and that while praying for them we feel and see an spiritual battle is going on........
They attacking us and or are hiding afraid of the confrontation with the light....YOUR WORD and WISDOM!
I read Lord what this sister is saying " This is a prayer of anticipation of the victory over paganism."
Yes Lord you confirm it father to me that the prayers we will sent up for our loved ones WILL GIVE VICTORY over paganism.......
Will draw them to the Light will protect us from fiercy darts thrown to us......
Yes i want and i MUST stay on the righteouse path....to be victorious.....To be an witness in words and acts for you Lord! You are giving me the warning/reminder today to put on the breastplate of righteousness EVERYDAY.
I must delf -in to know what this really MEANS.......!!
The blog of the sister i mentioned above started giving me the verses words and directions what to read and where to go in God's word......
I was captivated and could not let go of going on reading..... I heard ny son bussy in the back room and the clock was ticking and telling me there are still so much minutes to go to soccer training.....LOL..... This is real life and how God is speaking to us isn't it....??
I was brought again on an website i was planning to do the bible study but i relent in doing it........ Yes father "I know i must make time......it will not be given to me......."The Wardrobe from the King" Chapter 3 is Clothed in Righteousness.
And the words "Preparing for Battle" waked me up to take this really serious!!!!
So true what they say before starting the bible study of Psalm 84
Preparing for Battle
Relationships and responsibilities crowd my mind and stir my heart. Television, newspapers, people, and possessions tempt me to focus on everything but my King. How can I escape their tyranny? How can I manifest the purity of the King while living in an unholy world? How do I maintain a sense of personal worth when my performance points to failure? In this age of abundance, how do I discern between wants and needs, between lust and genuine Spirit-inspired responses to my Father?
Quietly Jesus seems to whisper, "Seek first My kingdom and My righteousness, then I will choose for you my very highest and best. Look first at Me, then I will share with you My true perspective of the world and its treasures, of circumstances and their significance to your growth, and of people and their part in your completion. Infinitely happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall find complete fulfillment."
The hungry and thirsty know their need. Nothing can stop them from seeking until they find the source of life-giving sustenance. Satisfied, they yearn for more as Jesus salts their hearts and produces perpetual thirst and satisfaction. Having glimpsed His loveliness and experienced His sufficiency, they find no fulfillment apart from an ever-deepening oneness with the Fountain Himself
Our Lord is a holy God who cannot tolerate sin, yet He loves the sinner. (That's you and me apart from Him!) Only by His mercy, grace and righteousness can we enjoy the greatest gift of all - life in His holy dwelling place and the peace of His constant presence. What a privilege!
Precious, holy King, I can neither come to You, hear You, nor please You on my own. I need You every moment. My heart longs for deeper oneness with You in all that You are, do, and desire; I yearn to understand more clearly and to appropriate more fully the gift of Your righteousness. Thank YOU for leading me on Your paths of righteousness, my King and my Shepherd.
Psalm 84 (The Message) A Korah Psalm
.1-2What a beautiful home, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! I've always longed to live in a place like this, Always dreamed of a room in your house, where I could sing for joy to God-alive! 3-4 Birds find nooks and crannies in your house, sparrows and swallows make nests there. They lay their eggs and raise their young, singing their songs in the place where we worship. God-of-the-Angel-Armies! King! God! How blessed they are to live and sing there! 5-7And how blessed all those in whom you live, whose lives become roads you travel; They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks, discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain! God-traveled, these roads curve up the mountain, and at the last turn—Zion! God in full view! 8-9God-of-the-Angel-Armies, listen: O God of Jacob, open your ears—I'm praying! Look at our shields, glistening in the sun, our faces, shining with your gracious anointing. 10-12 One day spent in your house, this beautiful place of worship, beats thousands spent on Greek island beaches. I'd rather scrub floors in the house of my God than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin. All sunshine and sovereign is God, generous in gifts and glory. He doesn't scrimp with his traveling companions. It's smooth sailing all the way with God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
Feel free to leave an message that you came over !
QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!!(from " A MESS") I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
