What does love look like in your home ? ~ BIRTHDAY august 4~

This morning of my birthday started with reminizing way back with my husband
How we met.......
How God kept us together without knowing......
Amazing how 22 something years can go so fast!!
This morning before my husband left for work after an delicious  "French breakfast" made by him ...... (Fresh baked croissants with omelet ,jam and fresh orange juice) " THIS "  happenend i said to my "hubby"......LOL....

The kids slept out so i sneek- out ( on tip-toes) to the living room to blog my thoughts on my birthday.........
But before doing that i found emails from my online friends and family members with well wishes......( Thank You all! )

But my "heart smiled" brightly when reading the one of my parents.....
Early in the midnight they wrote: "We are writing this email....after "taking the challenge" how to come on your blog to follow you.We find it so special to read your "Fathersdaypost" on this your birthday. Our well wishes on this strange age of  44....... (19 years with us and 25 years far away from our warm home!) [ these are the words of your dad and he said i must write it just that way!....smiling.....] We wish you HEALTH, LOVE and PEACE in All of  YOUR HEARTS and HOME ! We will "toast" on your birthday....
Much kisses have an nice day and take good care of our grandkids and also of yourself and husband! Love mum & dad"
And they included two painted portrets by an renomated painter in Surinam "Erwin de Vries"

And just now " the silence" is broken my blessings from the Lord woke -up and are saying......
" HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM"!!
But i was surprised.........I had to "beg" for "pecks on my cheek" for the first time??!!
Has that to do with entering the "teen phase".........................

The phone is ringing that will happen a lot of time today.......

And a lot of rain is coming down today ....To me an SIGN...... "SHOWERS of BLESSING"

A Psalm of the "The daughter of THE KING"

 ^1-3 I have  been hearing about this, God, all my live.
   My  fathers told me the stories
      their fathers told them,
   How single-handedly you weeded out the godless
      from the fields and planted us,
   How you sent those people packing
      but gave us a fresh start.
   We didn't fight for this land;
      we didn't work for it—it was a gift!
   You gave it, smiling as you gave it,
      delighting as you gave it.

 ^4-8 You're my King, O God—
      command victories for ME BERNICE
   With your help i will wipe out my enemies,
      in your name i will stomp them to dust.
   I don't trust in weapons;
      my sword won't save me—
   But it's you, you who saved me from the enemy;
      you made those who hate me lose face.
   All day i parade God's praise—
      i thank you by name over and over.

 ^9-12 But now you've walked off and left me,
      you've disgraced me and won't fight for me.
   You made me turn tail and run;

   You delivered me as sheep to the butcher,

   You sold your people at a discount—

      and i've done nothing to deserve it.
   I never betrayed your Covenant: my heart     
was never false, my feet never left your path.
   Do i deserve torture in a den of jackals?
      or lockup in a black hole?

 ^20-22 If i had forgotten to pray to my God
      or made fools of myself with store-bought gods,
   Wouldn't God have figured this out?
      I can't hide things from him.
   No, you decided to make us martyrs,
      lambs assigned for sacrifice each day.

 ^23-26 Get up, God! Are you going to sleep all day?
      Wake up! Don't you care what happens to us?
   Why do you bury your face in the pillow?
      Why pretend things are just fine with me?
   And here i am—flat on my face in the dirt,
      held down with a boot on my neck.
   Get up and come to my rescue.
      If you love me so much, Help ME!

   Now I'm in trouble again: grace me! hear me!

 ² You rabble—how long do I put up with your scorn BERNICE?
   How long will you lust after lies?

   Who got picked by God!
   He listens the split second I call to him.

 ^4-5 Complain if you must, but don't lash out.
   Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking.
   Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.

   I have God's more-than-enough,

 ^7-8 Than they get in all their shopping sprees.
   At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep,

 ^3-4 I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,

      Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
   Why do you bother with me BERNICE & MY FAMILY?
      Why take a second look our way?

 ^5-8 Yet we've so narrowly missed being gods,
      bright with Eden's dawn light.
   You put us in charge of your handcrafted world,
      repeated to us your Genesis-charge,
   Made us lords of sheep and cattle,
      even animals out in the wild,
   Birds flying and fish swimming,

      your name echoes around the world.

 ^1-2 God's glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.
   Madame Day holds classes every morning,
      Professor Night lectures each evening.

 ^3-4 Their words aren't heard,
      their voices aren't recorded,
   But their silence fills the earth:
      unspoken truth is spoken everywhere.

 ^4-5 God makes a huge dome
      for the sun—a superdome!
   The morning sun's a new husband
      leaping from his honeymoon bed,
   The daybreaking sun an athlete
      racing to the tape.

 ⁶ That's how God's Word vaults across the skies
      from sunrise to sunset,
   Melting ice, scorching deserts,
      warming hearts to faith.

 ^7-9 The revelation of God is whole
      and pulls our lives together.
   The signposts of God are clear
      and point out the right road.
   The life-maps of God are right,
      showing the way to joy.
   The directions of God are plain

   God's reputation is twenty-four-carat gold,
      with a lifetime guarantee.
   The decisions of God are accurate

 ¹⁰ God's Word is better than a diamond,
      better than a diamond set between emeralds.
   You'll like it better than strawberries in spring,
      better than red, ripe strawberries.

 ^11-14 There's more: God's Word warns us of danger
      and directs us to hidden treasure.
   Otherwise how will we find our way?
      Or know when we play the fool?
   Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
      Keep me from stupid sins,
      from thinking I can take over your work;
   Then I can start this day sun-washed,
      scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
   These are the words in my mouth;
      these are what I chew on and pray.    Accept them when I place them
      on the morning altar,
   O God, my Altar-Rock,
      God, Priest-of-My-Altar. 

Psalm 66

    All together now—applause for God! Sing songs to the tune of his glory,
      set glory to the rhythms of his praise.
   Say of God, "We've never seen anything like him!"
      When your enemies see you in action,
      they slink off like scolded dogs.
   The whole earth falls to its knees—
      it worships you, sings to you,
      can't stop enjoying your name and fame.

 ^5-6 Take a good look at God's wonders—
      they'll take your breath away. ^8-12 Bless our God, O peoples!
      Give him a thunderous welcome!
   Didn't he set us on the road to life?
      Didn't he keep us out of the ditch?
   He trained us first,
      passed us like silver through refining fires,
   Brought us into hardscrabble country,
      pushed us to our very limit,
   Road-tested us inside and out,
      took us to hell and back;
   Finally he brought us
      to this well-watered place.

 ^13-15 I'm bringing my prizes and presents to your house.
      I'm doing what I said I'd do,
   What I solemnly swore I'd do
      that day when I was in so much trouble:
   The choicest cuts of meat
      for the sacrificial meal;
   Even the fragrance
      of roasted lamb is like a meal!
   Or make it an ox
      garnished with goat meat!

 ^16-20 All believers, come here and listen,
      let me tell you what God did for me.
   I called out to him with my mouth,
      my tongue shaped the sounds of music.
   If I had been cozy with evil,
      the Lord would never have listened.
   But he most surely did listen,
      he came on the double when he heard my prayer.
   Blessed be God: he didn't turn a deaf ear,
      he stayed with me, loyal in his love.

Marriage Monday ~ Favorite foods of our husbands ~...........~

Romantic Food Faves

Oh! Give me something refreshing to eat—and quickly! Apricots, raisins—anything. I'm about to faint with love!

Today we must tell about the favorite foods of our husbands..I had to laugh about the vers E-mom from C h r y s a l i s  choose because the most appreciated foods are to me not "light" and refreshing and with Apricots and raisins i can't stirr the love through my husbands stomach....LOL....


Well i came an long way in preparing and knowing the fav foods of my husband
I remember the first time visit of my hubby in my appartment to have dinner together....
Now i understand his not so excited reaction about my dinner.....I remember slightly what i made....It was an oven dish with fish.....In comparison i know now with his "Nigerian cuisine" it was NOT spicy at all.......it was not fried..and looking very colourful.
I learned a lot about his taste and cooking a long those years but mostly i gave him "the honours" in our home to cook in the weekend and special occasions /celebrations....
But his favorite's are......

The last days i am thinking about LOVE......

Faya Lobi or Faja Lobi is the best known flower from Suriname. It is called the flower of love, because the litteral translation is "Fire Love". Just like many other flowers, this flower is used by people to express their love to each other.  The flower appears in different colors. As far as I know there are red, yellow, orange and white Faya Lobi flowers. Of course many people have small companies to cultivate these flowers and in Suriname it is good business.

God's definition of love....Un-conditional Love...Passionate LoveBut i heard this word also in my own language LOBI.......God's Love is like an FIRE......in our Life's........in Surinamees FAJASo today my word to link-up with Cindy Adkins at " I Owe it All to Him"....is......FAJALOBI

• That i can

It is still summerschool holiday......
So it is still sleeping-out time for the kids, letting them free to schedule there own day...that means...hours of TV...Nintendo.........dishes piling up in the kitchen........So coming from work to an house in "sjambless" and stay calm and let them be and feel free...

Last sunday we had an balcon BBQ ,it was fun...The kids helped with putting the meat on the fire with there dad....I made macaroni salad.......

Sunday some repairing in the house was done what was extended already for weeks


My husband just came home from work with some shoppings he did on his way home.
That is what love looked like in our home....

My experience is that when i am doubting or wondering or even thinking this blogging is taking my time to much........That is when i go and surge in my heart and see who or what i fill it with........I don't know if what i am saying makes sense but....my heart must be full first with THE ONE......The keeper of My HEART JESUS........And when our HEARTS get on FIRE it is HIM between us and stirring LOVE IN and BETWEEN US.....
In "My WALK and TALK" post last sunday He draws me to the focus on LOVE......and this morning before writing this post i came accross an verse and felt i must "Dot" it down because i believe that is the wish of OUR FATHER what must happen....in our life's in everything we do.........

So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well.  Learn to love appropriately.  You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush.  Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of:  bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of  God.

My Walk and Talk ~ My week in pictures " Do not let "ME" drawning...."

THIS WEEK in PICTURES !!

Something like this psalm my prayer went since last thursday

Psalm 55

¹ Listen to my prayer, O God,

       do not ignore my plea;  ² hear me and answer me.

       My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught

 ³ at the voice of the enemy,

       at the stares of the wicked;

       for they bring down suffering upon me

       and revile me in their anger.

Was walking around with an headache what could only be put down with some Tylenol for an while.......
To me the only thing what could help was closing myself up from "the world" and take an long sleep.........this afternoon......



That is how i see what happened.....
In my deep sleep i saw no pictures only hearing an loud voice it sounded like my husband and said......
"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU.........? Do you want to drawn " ME ".......You need  THE SPIRIT OF LOVE"!!
I was clearly awake......my head felt lighter...no cloud over my head and mood......I opened my bedroom...."back to the world"!
My kids and there dad where bussy in the house.....repairing some things..cleaning up....,preparing an BBQ.....My son came to me and said "daddy says we must do the house, because your birthday is up-coming....."
I said to my family i join in soon after taking an shower.....


I love to talk and reflect with the Lord under the shower....
Lord was it my husband talking to me in my dream...? I know he prays for me......
Maybe he prays for me to get more LOVE to conquer all what i have to deal with......??!!
Who am i DRAWNING??!!......My husband with my bad moods, moodiness.....lack of this or that???..........


No my dear....( or did the Lord say my princess,my queen my precious one...?)...
It's MY SPIRIT in you what is drawning....,what you are crushing....not giving way in you...because you give in doing what your FLESH wants to do......
You look at it and does not call an "halt " to it......


You need to see THE FRUITS of MY SPIRIT in your life......
Start focussing the coming time on the 1st one LOVE....2nd is JOY.....3th is PEACE and look the others up......... and search how this "fruit" of my spirit can grow in your life.......and come to " full bloom"........

Yes Lord i know You ask me several times to spend more time with You in The Word......I must start journaling..........
