On the 8th day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

Eight Maids A-milking

The eight Beatitudes:
1) Blessed are the poor in spirit,
2) those who mourn,
3) the meek,
4) those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
5) the merciful, 6) the pure in heart,
7) the peacemakers,
8) those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake.
(Matthew 5:3-10)

My thought went over those beautitudes
I pray that the Lord bless me my family and loved ones.....
When i read this Jesus says to me and you  in Matthew to be MEEK ,to believe and feel blessed when we

hunger and thirst for righteousness,to be merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers,
don't mint to be persecuted for righteousness' sake.

Well in the flesh it sounds difficult to me to go through......But i hear the words..(I don't know where in the bible) " Do I said it will be easy....."

HOW CAN WE BE AND GO THROUGH ALL THESE CIRCUMSTANCES???
I guess with HIM and HIM ALONE!!

Sister Peggy who's also reflecting on those 12 days of christmas ( link to her further in this post)
Was wondering about "Why are those maids milking...."!!??

I went to think about that....and came to the conclusion that Only with "The Milk" of the Lord we can get the right attitude in our spirit and get through circumstances.....
The meaning of MILK in the bible is interesting.....

"Blessing"
"Wealth"
"Beauty"
"Truth's of God"
...........

Will leave you with verses about "Milk"  and my Dayverses at the end .....

Psalm 1 Genesis 1:1-2:3; Matthew 1:1-17

Since the wise have rejected the word of the Lord, what wisdom is in
them? Jeremiah 8:9

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one
another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms,
hymns, and spiritual songs to God. Colossians 3:16

Wisdom from on high, you have permeated the world since creation. Help
us to sense your nudging toward daily gratefulness. Remind us to open
ourselves up to singing out and to allowing our gratefulness to inspire
others to sing. Amen.

Blessings Bernice...WOW that was really interesting! Much to ponder and many verses!!! Craving more spiritual milk!!!

I love your conclusion! This was so excellent:

"meaning of MILK in the bible is interesting....."

"Blessing"
"Wealth"
"Beauty"
"Truth's of God"

Now who would have thought my questioning why they used "maids a milking" would stir such great info! Thank you for searching and sharing your insights! Great work, Bernice! Thanks!

Feel free to leave an message that you came over !

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
