"Extreme Makeover: How God Renewed Our Marriage Against All the Odds."

This picture above was the picture i had in mind when i will be married!
Example for a good (godly) marriage was the marriage of my Grandparents.

No matter good examples..i had also wrong examples or marriages..who i saw as "unloving", not how i pictured mine has to be.....differently,or rather stay happily and single.......

As a young christian ( really a 'baby " spiritually) I fell "head over heals in love"  and it was both side.......The LOVE OF MY LIFE was also a "baby christian".Very attractive and interesting because
  1. Opposite's attracts
  2. Coming out of another culture IS interesting
  3. Values what i saw as important i found: in him: f.e. hardworking, passionate
That time we felt a nudge not to life together but to marry......
I see now that God Blessed us because of that decision!
We stayed long (LOL) in a "pink cloud" and we felt we could conquer the world!
When we look now at what steps we made....It is because we dare to do things together....Start a business together beside mine part-time job.....
We had faith in eachother and God was in it!

Where the enemy creeped in i don't know...
I think in the events of Life we lost sight of putting our priotities straight, and did not put GOD FIRST!!

When we woke up ...the pink cloud was gone and we looked at eachother
and strangely
all that was atractive and interesting was NOW seen as a down side........
  1. Because of being a hard worker i felt lonely to be mostly with the kids
  2. I wanted to compete to be also an hard worker
  3. Comunication problems because of other values ..Not understanding eachother or interpreteted differently because of culture diffrences

Well we both felt desillusioned and knew we where on the WRONG PATH!!
GOD SO GOOD!!
Seperately He start working at us....,speaking to us.......
That we see now we are looking back!!
When we where in the MIDDLE we OBEDIENTLY stayed together
And the only thing i heard was..........PRAY!!
I struggle with this and still with God about it because I always feel that i can't pray!
But i can say full heartedly ,what this picture says......

I believe that because of obedience and drawing closer again to God ...HIS POWER start healing and knitting us together  in the way HE INTENDED IT!!

He brought my way books and the p31 online ministry where i met sisters who gave encouragement and also practical tips ....how to survive those seasons in a marriage!!

God  is in the working bussiness in His CHILDREN....
We both where and are.......
He has His own plan with both of us....What we did not see than we see now......
He only asked TO PRAY AND FOLLOW.
Even when you do not understand.
I did not understand....sometimes i run out of my house...jump on my bike...began to Jog around in the park......Prayed for Godly and neutral people to talk with.......
But in all this HE IS FAITHFUL and ANSWERS PRAYER sometimes TOTALLY DIFFERENT
But always GOOD for His children!!

I am thankful that my husband and I are always best friends at the end of each day. Now older and a "little" wiser we know how important our marriage is to not only us, but our kids.
Blessings, andrea

I love your openess to good teaching and the Word of God--and especially to prayer. You have a heart to know the Truth, and you will find it.

It's wonderful to hear about how your Grandparents' marriage inspired you. That's awesome! (I hardly knew my grandparents.)

Thanks for joining us for Marriage Monday today, Bernice. Do join us again!

Blessings, e-Mom @ Chrysalis

Feel free to leave an message that you came over !

QUOTE from LYSA TERKEUST!! (from " A MESS")
I'm convinced there's a reason the first four letters of Messiah spell mess. We need Him. Only the Messiah can take our mess and turn it into a untangled message of hope, forgiveness, and ultimately love.
