As I lay me down,
heaven hear me now.
I'm lost without a cause
after giving it my all.
Winter storms have come
and darkened my sun.
After all that I've been through
Who on earth can I turn to?
[Refrain]
I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.
About to lose my breathe,
there's no more fighting left,
Sinking to rise no more,
searching for that open door.
And every road that I've taken
lead to my regret.
And I don't know if I'm going to make it.
Nothing to do but lift my head
[Refrain]
I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.
My levees are broken
My walls have come
tumbling down on me
The rain is falling.
Defeat is calling.
I need you to set me free.
Take me far away from the battle.
I need you.
Shine on me.
[Refrain]
I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.
I'm rejoicing and praising God today when i followed the interviews and listen to the music of Whitney Housten.
I pray that she will stay and look up to Him from who all helps comes....,who restores...,who gives new changes.....And that she would used the gift He gaves to her to bring Him praise and honour Him with her life.
Be blessed Whitney!

Beautiful.
Isn't that second video just beautiful. I saw it at Peggy's. I do pray she will keep looking to God.
Thanks for sharing this--this is what trials should do--make us realize and focus our lives on Him.
I've always loved Whitney's voice. It truly touches my spirit...what beautiful songs...I've been praying for her. God has given her an amazing gift.
The video is beautiful. It is so nice to know that there are celebrities who look to God for their strength. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Beautiful song. I hope the reference "I look to you" means she is looking to God. I haven't read or heard enough about her attitude toward God to know what she thinks. But I do know this is a beautiful song and I am glad you posted it. Later when I have more time I will return and look at everything on your blog. You have so much. LOL
These are both beautiful songs. I wish more celebrities would sing and talk about God since so many people listen to what they have to say.
Thank-you for this post,
Ginger
